Entrance Preview

I had to give an exam called LSAT to get admission in Jindal Global Law School. I scored 87.14 percentile in the exam. From a couple of years, I had decided that I wanted to get into a Law School. I gave a few exams and had admission offers from Christ University, Symbiosis Law School in both Pune and Noida, Jamia Milia Islamia University among some.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have an integrated course which is a 5 year B.B.A, LL.B(Hons.). This means that I am studying subject of both a BBA course as well as a LLB course. The college makes sure that the students get the latest study materials and are also encouraging the students to help in the fields of research in Psychology and Criminology to name a few.

Internships Opportunities

The Career Development and Placement Cell of our college is growing year by year. My college does help us with the internships by giving us the names and contact details of the companies willing to hire the students. The overall experience has been smooth and the students have been happy with the college and it's help.

Placement Experience

4

The placement record at the end of the course is formidable as more than 90% of the total students who sat for placements were placed with great packages. The students, as in every Law School in the country, are placed off campus with companies they previously have interned with, but the students that do sit for placements have got good packages and our college has a good placement record.

College Events

5

The students in the college come not only from different parts of the country, they also come from other nations. We celebrate a lot of festivals on campus like Diwali, Eid, Christmas etc. We also have food festivals every semester in our college. We have a college fest called Biswamil in which colleges from all over the country come and stay with us for 3 days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is probably the only thing that is a drawback of the college. The fee structure is a bit on the expensive side. A student studying Law has to to pay about Rs 7,20,000 a year. The facilities however justify the fee structure the college has.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does provide scholarship to students who score well in the LSAT exams. Students who have parents who have an annual income below Rs 50 lakhs combined can avail this scholarship. The scholarship can pay for about 75% of one's expenses of the college fees. The student can also avail Studentships by scoring well in examinations.

Campus Life

5

The campus life in Jindal Global University would probably be the best there is. The gender ratio and diversity on the campus is excellent. Students come from all parts of the country and even from other countries. The students come from an upper middle class to an upper class background.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are an amazing and extremely helpful bunch of students. They are extremely easy to approach and are really considerate. The alumni network of the college from what I've heard also helps a lot in obtaining internships and jobs.

Exam Structure

Being in a Law school, the life is pretty hectic. But if one's up to date with the work, the weekends are off and one can relax and have fun. The exams happen twice in a semester. The first one is the teacher's choice on how he has to score us. It can be either essays, presentations, assignments etc. The second exam of the semester, the end semester exams, are written examinations of all the subjects studied in the semester.

Admission

I got admission by giving an exam called LSAT. I obtained 87.14 percentile in the examination. After I got my score, I received a mail from the Jindal Global University with a provisional offer letter. I had to pay a portion of the entire fees to block my seat in the college.

Faculty

5

The faculty in the college is probably the best one can find in a Law School. All the professors are highly qualified and know their subject very well. All my current professors have degrees from well reputed colleges like Harvard (Law and Business school), Oxford (BCL course), Yale (Law) etc.

Course curriculum is completely good. It's so good that you get to know things like letter wise, so it's proper perfect and faculty is also good. They try their best to make you understand. Things can even ask them if you don't feel you got it then, and also they answer you, and they have a good relation with students like not a strict teacher kinda they're open about things and talk to students help them not such academic in their personal life. Also, so that's something good thing.

In L.L.B. (Hons.), the student becomes eligible for placement after the completion of their second year for PPOs. Also, after giving their sixth semester exams, the students are eligible to sit in placement drives. For law, top tier law firms like Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Khaitan and Khaitan, Luthra and Luthra, litigation lawyers etc. visit the campus for placement drives. Over 90% of the students are provided placements with the aid of the university. My plans also include placement through college in law firm after completing my degree.
