Remarks
Admission is done using JAC counseling. The cutoff for B. Tech COE was around 4500 rank in JEE mains (for General Delhi). I had the state quota. Counseling is simple. One has to bring all the required documents to the college like Scorecards, address proofs, etc. You will have to make almost 2-3 visits for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course because I had an interest in Computer Science. The subjects in the syllabus were related to programming and software mostly. Faculty: student ratio is around 1:80. Some faculties are amazing, some are just average. Exams are not too difficult. If one attends classes regularly, one can score well.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like Google, Microsoft, Uber, CodeNation, Tower Research, Sprinklr, Arcesium visit for internship opportunities. The stipend for these ranges from 35000-2lacs per month. They generally ask questions based on DSA, core computer subjects, and projects.
Placement Experience
For on-campus placements, 7th sem students are eligible. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Uber, Spriklr, Atlassian, Goldman Sachs, and many more visit every year, each one taking 5-20 students. The highest domestic package is around 50LPA. The lowest package is around 10LPA given by some Non-Tech companies. In branches like COE, IT around 95% of students have an offer.
Fees and Financial Aid
Every year there is around 10% hike in fees. There are scholarships for minorities. There is also a scholarship for students lying in the top 5% of their branch named CVSPK. If you have JEE Mains rank<2000, you can avail of the scholarship.
Campus Life
Annual Fest- Moksha, One of the biggest in Delhi. A lot of societies are there in college. Although Admin is not much supportive of the societies. The pressure of academics is too much to participate in societies. New classrooms have been built having all the facilities.
