Remarks

One of my graduation seniors was studying Azim Premji University and had all good things to say about the college. I decided to just search it online. I found the curriculum suitable for professional career. I was asked to deposit 12th marksheet scoring 68% and also appeared for the entrance test. Based on the entrance tests, I was shortlisted for personal interview and then the final selection is made depending upon the opted course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I got opportunities for research, publish in student journals and participate in a variety of University initiatives. Weekly colloquium lectures are conducted by scholars, practitioners and researchers from across the world. This provides a varied exposure and opportunity to learn from people outside the University. The University also hosts a series of regular international conferences and workshops in collaboration with other institutes. The faculty acts as facilitators of learning and hence have significant autonomy in structuring the courses, teaching methods and experiences.

Internships Opportunities

4

The University under its Field Reflection programme, initiates field exposure visits during the initial semesters of the students. In addition to this, it also organises internship opportunities and encouraged me to work on field projects as well.

Placement Experience

4

The placement committee comprises students, faculty and other members who decide on all key aspects of the placement process. These aspects include deciding on the placement calendar and setting the norms for placementsIdentifying job opportunities. Conducting practitioner lectures, seminars and workshopsOrganising training on soft skills, interview skills, resume building, etc. Facilitating smooth operations during pre-placement talks, interviews coordination and final offer processes. These range from large organisations to start-ups, including research institutions, policy bodies, CSRs, quasi-government institutions, schools, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My course was of 3 years for which I paid total fees around 6,30,000. For the 1st year, I paid approximately 2,10,000 and for the rest semesters I paid approximately 1,00,000. I didn't get the scholarship but I got the financial aid help that helped me pay my fees.

Campus Life

4

Clubs like culture club, celluloid club, poetry club, drama club, media and editorial club are open for students to join. Different sports and games including badminton, squash, basketball, volleyball, karate, judo, cricket, chess, swimming, tug of war to clinch the much-coveted trophies.

Hostel Facilities

4

The campus facilities include spacious classrooms, a library, hostel accommodations for 4000 students and 700 faculty and administration staff, an auditorium, an amphitheater, a sports complex, etc. To encourage the diversity of talents among students, the University has set-up several student clubs that are volunteered by expert faculty and senior students. These clubs conduct a variety of co-curricular events in the fields of theatre, photography, sports, poetry, music, etc.

Admission

A personal interview (PI) is conducted to comprehend the candidate attitude towards management education and evaluate the applicant ability in terms of Self and Social Awareness, Self-Management, Leadership, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

- curriculum specially for BA is not like how you see in other universities it's a comprehensive curriculum where your also studying subject like AI learning, data analysis, regional languages and so much more it is a comprehensive course which is not only focusing on your major but also on an overall development of you as a student.. - well we are not only getting in-class lectures but we also have a internal component of internship every year which helps us get an experience of real world situations and job market. -There is one course called numbers we have that could be improved it basically talks about mathematical in economic applications numerical implications particularly which has not been given more thought on it could be more elaborated and structured well. - frequency is high and difficulty is moderate usually.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Remarks:

I liked the course provided by this college. The subjects are different for every semester and the aura is splendid. This college provides a very good faculty which not only is good at keeping up with academics, but also is great in keeping a good rapport with their students. There is a whole variety of extra curricular activities which brings out the core personality of every student. I for a fact, had stage fear. But after I chose MIC, I really started getting over it.
