- Faculties are well motivated and will help you beyond class.
- Availability of snacks both MRP items and Chinese dishes available
- TALLEST University hostel in the world makes it really amazing.
Dislikes
- Curriculum design can be much better at end sem.
- Several kids dominating existing clubs in college
- Food at mess can be much much much better.
Placement Experience:
It's been 1.5 years of my college yet and I haven't heard of placement l. So I would not recommend coming into this college specially for placements. However, many assistantships are offered in college itself.

Azim Premji University emphasizes careers in social impact. Placement begins in final year. Top recruiter include NGOs, research institutions and policy firms.
Average package ?5-7 LPA, highest is ?10 LPA. About 80% relevant jobs. My plan is to work in research or grassroots development.

- The quality of teaching for my course - BA Economics (Hons) is exceptional. The professors give quality time with each student to ensure concepts are clear and go beyond the surface level teaching of all concepts.
- Every student gets their own mentor, who is a professor within the University who will help you guide yourself through everything, ranging from academic difficulties to personal grievances. There are regular sessions scheduled with these mentors..
- There is plenty of freedom in the university. Unlike other university's there is no strict dress code or unreasonable rules for the students to follow. The campus allows each indivitual to be true to themselves.
Dislikes
- The campus is very far from the city, making it difficult to have any sort of weekend get aways to the city tiresome. There are very few places around the campus that will let you experience city life.
- The university does not encourage competitive spirit festivals like youth festivals apart from sports. Hence narrowing down the avenues where students can get certificates for extra curriculars to add on to your CVs
- Academic rigor can get too overwhelming sometimes and one may not get time to study for other parallel exams for masters like GMAT, CAT, GRE etc. Finding time for extra curriculars may also get difficult.
Placement Experience:
The university does have a placement team which faculy and student led. Studnets become eligible for placements towards the end of their fourth year - last semeter. Approximately 100-150 NGO's come to campus for recruiting. The university does not promote private firms for placement but students can apply indivitually. The average pay is 20 Lakh per year. Many students after undergraduation opt for higher studies, so is my plan. But most of the master's students opt for placement and 98% - 99% get placed into NGO in top positions.
I plan to pursure a masters degree after my undergraduation, preferably in economics.

- The courses are well-structured, with updated syllabi and very interesting readings
- The faculty is really helpful and very resourceful
- The campus is big, with a lot of facilities and a vibrant student life
Dislikes
- There is not enough student representation in college administration matters
- Hand-written exams can be really hectic and can lead to cramming
Placement Experience:
Placement Cell is very active. There are various opportunities from different NGOs, grassroots' organisations, international organizations and think tanks. Average packages are around 50,000 to 60,000 per month.

- The faculty here is amazing and up to the mark. The infrastructure and hostel building is new.
Dislikes
- Too many luxuries, I feel are provided. Campus is in an isolated place.
Placement Experience:
Placements are not as strong if compared to TISS. A few good organizations also come like reliance foundation, pradan and azim premji foundation and FES. Around 90% people get placed every year. My plan after this course is Phd.

- The first thing I liked that its an very inclusive college and you feel equal and they don't judge on from where you come from
- And obviously the office hours which is a great help for your learning and development
- And all of things here are student oriented so you get to learn leadership skills
Dislikes
Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose this course because it is very vast and you can design this course based on your understanding. And the course is practice based more than that of the bookish based. And it is designed in such a way that you have to take part in discussion.

- APU campus has Democracy in the campus. Students from all caste class gender have represention.
- Azim premji University keeps organising talks which are highly relevant and from all areas of interest.
- Azim Premji University offers financial support to students coming from weaker section.
Dislikes
- Azim Premji University new campus is a concrete jungle.
- The buildings could have been less grey and less concrete.
- There are very few college fest that too mostly boring.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course design of Masters of Development course at Azim Premji University has relevance in time the course is updated every year. Apart from course book faculties taught from current articles debates and current situation about the issue.
