Azim Premji University, BA human development

Remarks

There are students from all over India, and there are also many from this state. There is a strict no-ragging policy in place, which gives newcomers peace of mind. There is an entire department that monitors the student's well-being.other than the faculty is amazing and ratio was balanced too.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This is an Undergraduate course (UG Degree) with a curriculum that is up to date with industry trends. They provide one specialisation in the Bachelor of Arts programme, namely Humanities and Economics.

Placement Experience

4.5

Our college's placements are excellent. We began our academic programme this year, and we are hoping for placements with teaching profiles. We have the Azim Premji Foundation here, which can provide us with good placement opportunities. Because this university believes that education has the power to transform societies, it is an excellent place to get involved in social service activities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee for the entire course is approximately 4.2 lacs, which includes the course fee, and a scholarship is also provided by the university based on a test that will be administered. If you choose the hostel option, your fee will rise.

Campus Life

4

Throughout the year, we host a variety of events such as seminars, workshops, and guest lectures. The guest lecture is very beneficial because it has a large alum base, so they can hold it on any occasion or time that is very informative in nature.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Our college's infrastructure is fantastic. We have digital classrooms, and the hostel rooms are excellent. Two students are assigned to each room. Even the restrooms are first-rate. Every day, we will have hot water, and we will also have a very good academic building with a well-developed infrastructure. With the help of inverters and generators, the college provides electricity 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Admission

You must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50%. You will be required to take the college's entrance exam; if you pass the exam, you will be invited for a personal interview.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
