Entrance Preview

I got through CET. My rank was 1200 . I got admit into Computer science department. SJCE has the oldest department for computer science and is competitive with BMS and RV college. Interview process was through CET. But now SJCE has become JSS science and technological university, it conducts its own entrance from next year 2017.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was very good during my time being an autonomous college. They take feedback from industry and alumnus to align job opportunities and update necessary courses. Now being a university , I hope they have full freedom to come up with best syllabus for CS in the state.

Internships Opportunities

Placements are good, internships are external and only about 20 to 40 percent make it in their 3rd and 4th year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is feasible 18 k merit and 34 k non merit for CET entrance. I am not aware of university fees

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I don't think there is any loan. But MHRD scholarship is provided by central govt and college supports it.

Campus Life

Gender ratio 40:60 in CS much and other Dept are mostly male dominant. No ragging in college, Juniors and seniors easily mingle together due to intense hype for technical fest.

Good for you if you want a degree and want self learn

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are no such specific of the curriculum that influenceed me to take these course instead i was interested or kneen to this course., since my childhood I wanted do this course. It's good in terms of virtual world but not for real world. Everywhere there's a need of improvement no practical knowledge is present here no one talks about new ideas not even they think about even some of them came because it costed them low. No such specific difficulty.

St Joseph college of engineering mangalore,a honest and straight forward review.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are pretty well and this year they are even more better .from 6 th semester onwards students become eligible for the placement and I have also planned to cover multiple cources provided by the college and some outside material also to get the market exposure and make my resume more stronger.The highest package offered by the companies is 48 lpa.The placement percentage ranges from 75 to 85 percent

The admission process to this branch will be based on KCET only. Eligibility is 12th pass in science stream and should a Karnataka student to write kcet.
