Fees is affordable and the faculty are qualified enough
Infrastructure is good. Instrumentation labs are in golden jubilee block
Research is going on in biomedical instrumentation

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is extremely relevant and interesting. The instrumentation lab experience would be really relevant to the industry's needs. Since communication subjects can be taken as electives it would be better to choose electronics and instrumentation than electronics and communication.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 304000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees will be 3 lakhs for four years and the hostels will be 80,000 rupees for one year and will be of sharing type. Financial aid will be given to students whose family income will be less than 2.5 lpa and 8lpa.

Campus Life

Jayciana is the name of the cultural annual college fest. It is the largest fest in Mysore colleges. Sports facilities include basketball, football, throwball and cricket. The facilities in the library is good. There is new 3d printing machine.

Admission

The admission process to this branch will be based on KCET only. Eligibility is 12th pass in science stream and should a Karnataka student to write kcet. The cutoff for this branch is higher than electronics and communication and electrical engineering due to a lack of information about this branch.

Faculty

60 students are admitted in a year, so the faculty-to-student ratio would be around 1:5. Some faculties are PhD holders. They are doing research in biomedical instrumentation field. We can approach the faculty anytime during the day.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has the necessary subjects of the branch...It is constantly updated every year to adhere to relevancy and comphrehensiveness of the course..My department of AIML teaches us the necessary computer subjects such as Nature Inspired computing, Deep learning etc and also the Maths and Stats whch is required for machine learning is though too ( Like Maths for machine learn and statistical modellign, inferential statistics, time series analysis etc)..These subjects also have lab components which help us prepare for real-world applications. But some of the older subjects on the other hand which might be core computer science or in first year..common subjects like CAED and others are not required and outdated. The frequency and timings of exams is moderate..neither good nor bad

My Real Experience as a First Year DSAI Student at IIIT Dharwad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice

Though i needed cse with cybersecurity but i didnt get it so i went with Robotics and ai. In first year they have many subjects of all course which are basic and fundamentals of all branches Some are good in real world application They should add more practical stuff then theories We have 1 to 1½ month gap betwen internals and some 10 days gap between 2nd internal and sem difficult level varies every year
