SJCE a great college

I chose this course mainly because of 2 reasons.Reason 1: THe growing demand for electronics in the world leds to more job opportunities and hence a better future security. Reason 2: I studied electronics for 2 years i.e in the PU. I gained intrest in the subject hence allowing me to take up ECE.I cant say anything about the curriculum now because im in first year and we didnt start with electronics as a course yet.

I didnt join any internship as im currently a first year student but seniors are usually provided with intership opportunities.some are paid ones but some are just for experience. But it exists unlike some other colleges.

Admission in SJCE i.e the aided seat has a fee demand of 67631 where 42116 is paid through kcet and the remaining 25115 will need to be paid during admission. THe 67k includes the tuition fee ,university fees, examination fee and the development fee . The basic tuition fee is 19k , JSS mahavidyapeetha fees is 5.5k,university development fee of 7.5k,4k for university registration fee and other miscallaneous expenses,

The campus life is good. We didnt enjoy any fests till now. But the clubs here are good . The main ones are IEEE Tesla which are electronics related. IEEE SJCE gives access to a lot of journals and books. Even the library has a great deal of books. THere is even an digital library in the campus and can be accessed by connecting to the college wifi. the college wifi is available through the entire campus . Sports events take place once in a while. There are many student run clubs which are actually good.

HOstel facilities are good but the bathrooms and washrooms are not up to the mark . The cleaning takes place once a week but the corridors are cleaned everyweek . the meals are good and the menu has a wide range of food items. the registration is hassle free and its affordability is okayish. many people tend to stay in hostel .

I wrote KCET which allowed me to enter a large number of colleges . the main reason i chose this college is because of the following reasons 1.I could get into only some colleges because of my less rank 2.Better placements 3.Good location 4.Less fees

The facult to student ratio is go od but sometimes it not enough. Only some faculty answer the questions of students promptly some wont respond to the question properly but they answer. cant say anything about best faculty cause we didnt start our departmental classes yet. There are currently 3 events where 2 are tests and the other is projects assignments and stuff . YOu need to get >=50% marks in the event in order to qualify for the final sem end examination.

NO only kcet was the entrance test . I had to get a rank below 6k inorder to get admitted here. the admission process is done through kea only everything from start to finish . only during the time of college joining youll interact with the the college i prepared for two years for kcet

We usually hangout in the lush green gardens under the trees but we occasionally hangout in the cafes inside the campus. Most of the hostellites go to gym in the evening while others either roam mysuru or stay inside thier rooms and continue their day. the boys hostel timings are not that strict but the campus gate closes at 9:30pm but the hostel gates will be open but if you are late you will be questioned.
