Remarks
It's a government college. Has a very good placement record, almost everybody in my batch got a campus job. Fees are low compared to other colleges in Mumbai. Located in close proximity to my residence, hence reducing time wasted in travelling. Famous state college for hardcore engineering streams. Great location and amazing campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is a little old fashioned. But a change is Definitely on its way. Course has all the basics. Could be a little more progressive with semester long internships and more case study based projects. All faculty have a PHD. Environmental and construction management faculty is great.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. But I have bagged my internships without any help from college. College does help in getting internships. Professors have great connections across the industry and help students in securing internships. Stipends aren't unheard of but are rare.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester. Shapoorji Pallonji - 4lpa Reliance infrastructure - 4.5 lpa Axxella - 11lpa (highest)Tata Power - 5lpa Infosys - 4lpa Burns and McDonalds - 5lpa Reliance Retail - 5lpa Average package is around 4 lpa My batch had 98% placement record Post degree I have taken up my placement offer and work at Shapoorji Pallonji.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are more or less fixed. Lowest fees in the city, averaging at 68,000 per year. And great return on investment considering average placement package of around 4lpa . Scholarships/financial assistance is available for students belonging to categories. I was placed in shapoorji pallonji engineering and construction. Package of 4lpa .
Campus Life
Social life is great. Campus is beautiful with sports grounds for almost every sport. Well equipped library. Annual festivals are held. Cultural and technical festivals are held separately. Loads of social groups and clubs to join.
Hostel Facilities
I did not live in hostel.
Admission
I did not face any group discussion or interview. Had to CET mcq test. Test was an mcq one of 200 marks. Consisted of questions generally from the physics chemistry and maths from CBSE. 1 hour for maths and 1 hour for physics and chemistry. 100 marks for maths and 100 for physics and chemistry. Post test, there are CAP rounds held. I secured 148/200 and got my admission in the 5th CAP round.
