Remarks

I was accepted into IIIT Jabalpur, UIET (PU), and NSIT (DU). I had joined NSIT as it provides better placement opportunities and is overall a good college. It is ranked among the top 10 colleges in India. The admission criteria were quite simple, just apply during the counseling rounds and had to pay a security amount of 5000 to book a seat. The minimum marks required were 60% in class XII.

Course Curriculum Overview

I got this course as I was eligible for this specific course. The faculty is really great and the students get. a great opportunity to interact and learn from one of the best faculty members in India. We had some very distinguished faculty, like one of the youngest triple Ph.D. holders in India. Exams were conducted as per the schedule and it was not a cakewalk to pass the exams as the checking was quite strict and we did not have the percentile system to grade students relatively.

Internships Opportunities

For internships, not a lot of companies come. The majority of the companies come for coding profiles and core electronics profile. Microsoft, AMD, Qualcomm are some of the companies that come in for internships.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placement from the 7th Semester. More than 150+ companies visit the college every year for placements. The highest package received was of 65 lakhs from sumologic and the average package was in the range on 5-6 lakhs. 99% of students get placed in the placement season.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee was hiked post it turned into a University. For the tenure in which I was enrolled, I completed my graduation in less than 4 lakhs (including hostel fees) which I think is comparatively cheaper for a prestigious college like NSIT The scholarship was given every year to the students who scored more than 75% marks in that year.

Campus Life

Moksha was the annual cultural festival that was conducted every year in the month of March. The Tech fest - Innovision was conducted in Feb every year. The library had all the course books along with some extra research books for the students. Every year there was a sports fest which was conducted across the college. We also had a sports fest in our respective hostels. It used to be intra hostel sports meet. We had a lot of societies in college which catered to different interests of the students. - Astronomy Club - Nakshatra - Dramatics Society - Ashwamedh - Debating Society - DebSoc - Automobile Society - BulletHawk Racing

Hostel Facilities

The room was quite simple, with a single bed, a chair & a table along with an inbuilt cupboard. Every room had a window. Most of the rooms were single rooms and some double rooms were also there. The mess food was OKayish (not very tasty usually) The hostel was available for all outside Delhi students and if the rooms were still vacant, they were then allowed to students residing in the far of places in Delhi. We had to apply for a hostel once after coming in the 2nd year and post that our room remained the same for the next 3 years.

Placement Experience:

Exploring NSUT

Placement Experience:

The placements are between average and good. There are total 300 companies that come for placements. The core companies usually come at around 8 LPA to 15 LPA, and th tech companies come at 15 LPA to 45LPA. The non tech companies come at 10 LPA to 25 LPA. Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester. The placements season lasts for 144 days. The students become eligible for internship form the end of 4th semester. My plans after getting the degree are two way. The short term plan is to do a job in core and in the long run, build my business.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester, students are eligible to sit in the placement drive. There are plenty of good companies that every student dreams of visiting our college. Almost the same companies visit NSUT, which goes to DTU or IIIT or IITs(Packages could be lower than IITs). Students can apply for any sort of company whether its a tech domain or nontech or core domain. The no. of core companies is quite less than dtu and IITs but the no. of tech companies is higher than dtu. The placement percentage has significantly reduced to 42% in past years. The average package is around 10 lpa.

A Glimpse of DTU

Placement Experience:

Like ig from 5th sem(3rd year) students can apply for internships. Famous companies that visit campus are- Apple,Google, Microsoft,IBM,Amazon etc Highest offers made were 1.2 CR (international package)... much data is not shared publicly so how many students were given that package is not known. Average package of software engineering is near about 20LPA rest it always stay above 18LPA. In tech branches almost 80%-90% students get placed Mp will get a job in other country after this degree

DTU is one of best college for engineering in Delhi.

Placement Experience:

Placement is great in DTU almost 70% students gets selected in good companies.Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester (i.e. 4th year). 2024 placement session is currently going on but in 2023 the placement for technical branches was more than 80%. Our past recruiter includes companies like google, Microsoft, SanDisk, Flipkart, Amazon and many more big companies. The last year maximum package was 82 lpa and average package for tech companies was around 20lpa

The thing that influenced my decision was the location. NSUT is like 5kms from my home and it influenced my decision greatly, moreover I was getting the branch I wanted to study. I didnt join VIT, Manipal because I dont like south indian food to much. And in IIT I was getting marine engineering, a branch which I am not very passionate about. NSUT campus tour

I applied for IITs but couldn't get in as I was not getting desired courses and IITs due to low marks in JEE. So, applied to colleges in Delhi. I got a seat in DTU and IIITD but they were too far from my home, so I chose NSUT over this because it was convenient to travel. Dilemma choosing NSUT? Here the analysis

I got 97.46 percentile in jee mains and 252 marks in BITSAT but didn't went. Bits pilani because of dual degree in which what Btech course I'll get wasn't even defined till I complete the first year there. I applied for JAC counselling and was getting engineering physics in DTU but I am not fond to pure physics very much thus I chose NSUT as my future shaper. I couldn't get into IITs because of my weak hold in maths and due to which I got 119 marks in yr 2024 which was not enough to get into IITs despite qualifying the exam. This year the cutoffs rose significantly as when compared to 2023, the paper was quite on high level but still there was nearly 15-20 marks gap in qualifying marks. However I would say it's just destiny what decides your path and NSUT isn't even bad in any terms it's just IIT has a tag but if worked hard in NSUT, you can still land into a company with 80lc placement package. You can get into NSUT vio jee mains marks through JAC counselling and to just get into NSUT you may require a minimum percentile of 93-94percentile and for cse branch you have to get 99.1+percentile if you are have home state quote otherwise you need to have 2000-3000 AIR rank in jee mains to get in CSE branch. There's also a provision for students who are living outside India (DASA), in this category students can get into NSUT with quite less percentile also....Read More
