Remarks

I applied to Daulat Ram College only and I am very satisfied. The Delhi University announced the cutoffs for all of its colleges and my result from the CBSE board met the criteria so I took admission to this college. I didn't avail any quota while taking admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had always dreamt of doing Bcom Hons so it was easy for me to choose this course. The faculty in the college is very knowledgeable and very helpful to students. They even go out of their way to help students clear their doubts. The college has a faculty student ratio of about 1:20. Exams are held twice every year and they need round the year to study to pass the examinations.

Placement Experience

Students from the 5th year are eligible for campus placements. Top global recruiters like Wipro, TCS and Deloitte recruit more than 150 students from the campus every year. The highest package last year was 22 lakhs per annum while the average package was 5 lakhs per annum. 50-55% students are placed every year. I will be looking to be recruited by Wipro so that i can recieve my further education with a salary from future on.

Fees and Financial Aid

I m not aware of any fees hike policy in the college because my fees have been constant over the years. The fees to study in the college is very low and is very affordable. There are no scholarships available but it's okay because the fees are very lows anyways.

Campus Life

The commerce society of the college organises the annual fest named "Manjari" every year on the campus. However, due to the pandemic, it was organised online which was a very fun event. The Library of the college is spacious and have all types of books in it. Classrooms are clean and have proper ventilation. We have a very big playground where all the sports activities take place.

A Balanced College Experience with Supportive Faculty

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college.The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .

Why DU has the best college life

Placement Experience:

Insights into DRC

After appearing for CUET UG, we make preferences of the desired college and on the basis on the CUET score, colleges are alloted. So, Daulat Ram College was my 7th preference and I was alloted this as per my category and cut off I cleaned. Although it was 7th preferred college, I have no regret of getting into it. Good internship opportunities

The admission process till last year in University of Delhi was on the basis of 12th std marks, but from this new session(2022-2023) there is an entrance test CUET. The eligibility for the same was the student must've cleared 12th board exams and the application form was available on NTA official site. People with reservations(SC, ST, OBC etc..) do get a lot of benefits like for them the marks are less for getting a good college as compared to non- reservation seats.
