Remarks

I had applied only to The Bhawanipur Education Society College as i was confident about my decision that i am attending the right college. I did not avail any quota for admission. College has a minimum marks criteria of 60% in 12th boards. Admission process was smooth and the admission fees was supposed to be to deposited within 2 to 3 working days after the selection list got out.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested in accountancy and finance and wanted to pursue a career in that field. There are 25 faculty members for 150 students in each section.Faculties were CA , CMA , CS , MBA in finance. Exams were two exam held for each year and the papers were moderately easy.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

many companies like TCS Deloyd and many others offer the role of trainee in the departments where the students want to get an internship certificate and the stipend given is around 1500 to 2500. As i didn't apply for any internship i didn't know about projects and outcomes to clarify the task

Placement Experience

From second year fourth semester students become eligible for campus placements, TCS and many other companies have visited the campus and the 12 to 13 number of offers given. 50 to 60% of the students gets placed. After getting the degree I would opt for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was a fees hike of 2000 rupees each year. Financial assistance facility is there although i did not receive one. TCS and many other firms come for campussing. Total 120000 rupees was spent by me while doing this degree course from this college.

Campus Life

Umang is the name of annual fest and is one the most famous college fests in Kolkata.It is held during december or january each year. A very well furnished library is present with all kinds of books and journals available for students. All classrooms are Air Conditioned with projectors and digital board. We had a seperate sports arena where all kinds of games are available, Many social groups and clubs like drama club debate club music club are available for the students.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell club which functions in the college itself which is efficient in providing over 67 to 98% of students with placements. This percentage can vary for different years and different courses. The college has been successful in attracting top recruiters like deloitte, wipro, TCS, and leader companies from various other sectors. Packages vary significantly from 4 to 6 LPA up to 24LPA. After getting my degree i am planning to first make sure that i have completed my CA course that i am pursuing alongside. And then going ahead with either a job outside kolkata or open a business in kolkata itself.

Having fun at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum aligns well with the professional courses like CA and CMA. it has a lot of classes like value added course, modern indian language etc. which help us grow overall. The seminars are very helpful. We submit presentations on rela world topics which prepare us beyond the clasroom. It could be improved to reduce the excess theory portions. The frequency and timing is wonderful.

Beyond Books : Life at St. Xaviers

Placement Experience:

The students from their 3rd year become eligible for campus placement. Different companies including the Big 4 like Deloitte KPMG etc made offers in 2024-25 and the average package offered in BCOM was 4.5 LPA. I plan on sitting for the placements after i get my degree, that is if im not pursuing my articleship at the time.

I always want to build my career in commerce and my aim is to be a chartered accountant. So I took this course because the syllabus of CA and B.com is the same. our college faculties are so helpful. They always come forward to resolve our academic and nonacademic doubts. Their teaching methods are also good. we don't need to purchase any book, their notes are enough for our syllabus.

The besc life

I applied to scottish church, jaipuria college and goenka college of commerce Got confirmed from the first two but bhawanipur had the best discipline , teacherd and a smooth easy process and the best campus.it has a ragging free enviroment which is best for me .
