Remarks
The admission process for any University of Delhi college is simple, just check the cutoffs released by DU if you are within the cutoff take all required documents like the 10th class mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, migration certificate, caste certificate (if applicable) photo, etc and then documents will be verified and you'll be asked to pay the fee online. And the admission process is over.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose botany hons because of my interest in the subject. Faculty to student ratio at DRC is 1:30. All the faculty is very well qualified and engage in various teaching methods through presentations practicals etc. Term exams happen once every semester date sheet for the same is released 15-20 days in advance so there is enough time for preparation.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the jobs or internships offered are for a content writer and digital marketing with an average stipend of 10-15 thousand per month. Companies like times of India , ingrain recruit most of the candidates.
Placement Experience
Around 65% of students got placed from botany (hons). companies like Time of India, Ingrain recruited many of them for content writing and digital marketing. Generally, Most of the students go for higher studies after Bsc. I plan on doing my MSC forestry from FRI Dehradun.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee was consistent throughout the whole course around 19280 per year. There are many scholarships based on your academic performance and sports or extra-curricular performance. A fee waiver is granted to any economically weaker student on submission of an income certificate and some other documents. Campus placement provides you many opportunities be it internships or jobs.
Campus Life
Manjari - Annual fest of the college is conducted in the month of Jan - Feb every year. Includes music shows dance shows, performance by a renowned singer last year maninder butter was present. MISS DRC is a cultural fest that takes place every year from July -august. Book and journals are readily available in the library. DRC'S library has a collection of over 1lakh books. The library is well equipped with technical facilities, a special brail section for differently-abled students. classrooms are well equipped with smart projectors, ventilation. DRC has 2 huge cricket playgrounds, a swimming pool, badminton court, table tennis, etc. There are departmental societies that are compulsory for a student apart from that there is debating society, drama, dance, music, NCC, NSS.
