Remarks

I applied for DTU and JEE. But I choose the college that I was offered by jee because it seems to me more important. I don't avail any quota for admission as I come from a general quota. Admission for the computer science branch in my college is only possible through jee exam so suitable marks are required for admission. For me as a general student, it requires a rank between 20000 to 55000 to take admission. age limit is up to 30 years. the admission process was done online, I have to submit all required documents on jee website and have to pay 73000 rs.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because of my interest in computer languages and software. There are about 57 students in my batch. The faculty is very good they are very helpful and well qualified. They are always ready for everyone's help and takes classes regularly. The end-term exams were not so difficult means normal classes attending students can pass all the exams very smoothly and no need to worry.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Lots of famous companies visited in previous years like -Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, etc. Lots of companies providing internships for students with good stipped like dell, HP, Maruti, etc. They provide tasks like the campus ambassador program, their online office work.

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for placements after 3rd semester. lots of companies visited in previous years like -Mahindra, tata, Maruti Suzuki, Infosys, etc. For the computer science, the program average package is 4.2 lakhs and highest is 23 LPA. About 83 percent of students every year got placement in companies. My plan is to work for Infosys after my graduation degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee is 31000 per semester and 3500(multiple occupancies), 4500(single occupancy). and colleges charge 15000 refundable and 14000 non-refundable at time of admission. College provides scholarship(tuition fee waiver) for top 5 students from batch who get decent marks in jee on basis of general quota. But I did not get any scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

There are several annual fest like-madhuram, and a tech-fest named -TechFest. Madhuram conducted between in months of May and June and tech fest conducted between August and Sept. There is a very good library here. IT has all types of academics books and also several novels, magazines, biography, etc. The library staff behaves is very helpful and we can get any books from the library very easily. According to staff, there are about 500000 books available in the central library. All the classes are high classed, fully air-conditioned, well furnished, etc. All types of sports facilities are available. cricket, basketball, football like many outdoor games and tennis, chess, table tennis type lots of indoor games with the availability of all goods. Every hostel also has a tv room. There are lots of colleges groups created by teachers and students both. many groups made for the mess, sports, library, campus, and other all types of activities.

Hostel Facilities

5

The room are really in good condition. Every room has single beds, a tube light, a fan, a balcony, an almirah, a study table, and chair. All furniture was of good quality. There is a water purifier on every floor in the hostel. The meal quality is average but feels bored after some time. We can eat food how much we want. The registration process for a hostel is very easy. just go to the academic office and access your room key after submitting some important documents like aadhar card, admission proof, etc. Lots of pg rooms are available outside the college on regional prizes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
