Remarks
I am inspired by IIM Kashipur when i heard about the college and its culture from the senior students of IIM kashipur. From that moment, i am little bit impressed. This is the reason that made me inspired and choose this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
As i am student of first year, so in the first year we have commerce subjects. We are taught on subjects like Marketing, Finance, Operations, HR, etc. In IIM Kashipur, we have some permanent faculty and some visiting faculties. For particular subjects, we have particular faculties. They guide us properly. Faculties are good.
Placement Experience
Overall the placement process is good. The placement cell is there to prepare us for interview round. For summer placement, we have companies from IT sector, Banks like RBL, other operations and financial companies, etc coming to our college for campus recruitment. There are also startup companies who also come for campus recruitment. They offer roles like consulting role, marketing research role.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of the whole course is around 15 to 16 lakhs which includes hostel fees, books, library, computer fees, etc. We have to pay around 7.75 lakhs per year. Mess fees need to pay extra. For mess fee, we need to pay around 1 to 2 lakhs. IIM Kashipur offers scholarship to its students on the basis of Merit, Need based which family income is less than 5 lakhs, and there is also a scholarship which is provided to the Covid impacted students.
Campus Life
IIM kashipur has multiple clubs, committees, and cells for each and every events. Talking about the academic clubs, there are different academic clubs which are maintaining the educational environment. There are also clubs and committees which are maintaining good relations with the industrial experts. Apart from that, we are given the opportunity to do live projects under different companies. The college also organizes many extra-curricular activities like sports activities, different cultural events, etc.
Hostel Facilities
Overall it was a good experience. Hostel facility is good. Two person is alloted in a single room. For cleanliness, staff is there to clean the hostel on regular time. Mess food is very good and delicious.
Admission
For the Written Ability Test (WAT), a common topic was asked like women empowerment. As i have work experience, so for Personal Interview, i was asked questions mainly on my work experience and why i want to do MBA.
