Remarks

I had applied in DU and AUD for BA hons. Psychology and for BA hons. Social Sciences and Humanities. I couldnt get admission in any good college of DU for btoh psychology and social sciences, neither on merit basis nor on the basis of entrance. Then i received mail from Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) stating that I had got short-listed in the seventh cut-off list for BA Hons. Social Scienecs and Humanities. All I had to do was accept their offer letter, confirm whether I'll be taking admission or not in order to secure my seat. We were given time of 15 days to submit the admission fees along with the tutition fees. I even got a call from the management of AUD as a reminder for the same. Admission process had got over in Setptember as far as i remember. And in September we heard again from the university regarding the orientation and commncement of first semester. The admission process was really smooth here; not even minor inconveniences had been faced.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose the course of BA Hons. in Social Sciences and Humanities because it offered me a chance to major in 3 subjects instead of just 1. I'm majoring now in Sociology, Psychology and English. It provides me an opportunity to explore more subjects and do whatever I love the most. I have wider career prospects. In AUD, the founational optional courses are really interesting like "Film, History and Society", "Introduction to Fine Arts" etc. The faculty:student ratio is not too decent i.e. 1:40 approximately. Even with such class strength the faculty really encourages all students to speak and share their views. All my professors have done a PhD in their respective subjects. The teaching method is excellent. They provide really interesting reading materials and discuss them. Classes are really engaging and interesting which helps us in getting insights about the subjects. The exams were scheduled at intervals and the difficulty level was above moderate.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Name of the companies- Zomato, Flipkart, Papermedia, Planetspark, Digiversal, HR internship at Cambridge University Press, etc. As far as the stipends are concerned, they very but are reasonable. Outcomes and everything are usually acheieved by the end of the internship.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students are eligible to apply for campsu placement from third year onwards. We receieve a lot of mails from "training and placement cell" regarding the same. Recently, we had an opportunity to do internship at Flipkart. Most of the students who apply from AUD get their placements well in time.

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont really know much about the hike policy because I consider myself to be still new on campus and i'm still exploring. As far as scholarships are concerned, there are some cholarships based on merit. The fees assistance and fee waiver may be availed if one is qualified as low-income group.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest which takes place at Ambekdar University Delhi is called AUDacity. Is like a cultural fest wherein various activities take place. Till now, I've only see the photos of this event on our university's website. I'm really hoping that things would get normal soon and I'll be able to experience that enthusiasm. The fact that I've been to university only once, that too for physical verification, makes it hard for me to discuss other aspects of this realm. I am yet to experience the actual college life.

I will rate the course at Delhi Univeristy 8 out of 10. As a student, I'm receiving offline study materials via the post, however, you have to pay around 500 rupees for the books and notes when filling the fees every year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course curriculum includes learning across 2 feilds like i have economics and maths and later we can continue 4th year to get hons degree . So its really gives time for a person to test himself or herself about which field to go on for as specialization. The difficulty level for this course is easy to moderate.
