Remarks

I Applied for Amity University, DG Ruparel And Thakur College to take admission in B.Sc ( Computer Science ) for a period of 3 years. But unfortunately, all this colleges were some how not fitted for me. Amity University was charging a very very high admission fees of 1,25,000 only for the first academic year where as all of the colleges in mumbai were very less as compared to it. But the quality of education and environment I saw was peaceful. Another College was DG Ruparel it was also build nice with good infrastructure I loved it but I stayed In Mazgaon and the college was located at dadar. I had extra classes to attend also for my further education. So, I couldn't go to this college every day to attend lecture. It was compulsory that your attendance should be more than 80% to move further. Then I visited Thakur College, the college is very old design but the fees were reasonable. At last, I Joined Jai Hind College there were no marks or age criteria to join everything was on merit.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

When I was in school my parents dropped out some subjects replacing them with computers subjects such as HTML, java, paint, word, and PowerPoint. I learned everything about computers in my school period so I was very comfortable with computers operations. So, without changing anything I pursued my further studies In computer subjects only. So this is reason to take admission in B.Sc Computer Science Course. Jai Hind College It is a prestigious college of Mumbai. Students study very hard like me to get in it and the cut-off ratio is also high for this course. The College in-house students also can be thrown if the marks are less than the cut-off it chooses everyone on their merit marks. Our department has 4 classes and in each class, more than 85 students are the so the class is at maximum level. Professors are highly talented they know each and every subject in depth so the studies we learn if we focus during lectures remain unforgettable. Term exams are 2 in a year including units exam also

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships of companies start coming at the end of the last year in this course. Companies like TCS and L&T were the one's which I applied but as per my marks in my degree and previous 10th and 12th classes percentages were less I was not choosen for becoming an intern. But as soon as I completed my graduation Cognizant Company recruit us and luckily I got approved with a salary of 3-4 LPA and I was working on a web developments projects. And 30 students of our batch were choosen for internship in TCS having a period of 6 months and being paid during their studies with a salary of 10,000 per month. Students used to pay their fees with this salary only. During the Internship of TCS, students were assigned the role of checker in a project which was already started to check it is working properly. And some were placed in the call center and others were in data entry work. The internship salary was fixed at 10K. If students perform well in an internship a letter used to be given to him for a permanent job

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible for placements during their third year in college many companies come to recruit them as a intern or for a permanent job. Students with high profile and more marks in their whole educational life usally gets the fastest and high paying jobs. Nearly 70-80% of students gets placed in companies after their graducation and some join their own family businesses. If no campus placements was offered for weak students then the teachers help them to try off-campus placements in different colleges. In our college the highest paying company which had came was l&t who was offering 8-9 LPA with one criteria that the students need to have at least 90% in their 10th and 12th exams. It was difficult but 5 students of our batch got placed in it. Unbeliveable right !!. Companies like tcs, cognizant, Wipro, l&t, and more product based company came here with a normal average salary of 3-4 LPA per annum for remaining who has passed out graduation. And luckily I was the one in them.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid a total of 26850 for my first academic year. I'm from a reserved category OBC, but then also this I didn't get any compensation of fees. In this college students gets compensation on fees only if they belong to SC And ST. And they're fees are very less as compared to us. During my studies some times extra money were demanded for extra curricular activities, organizing of fest or for educational stuffs. I didn't receive any scholarships for being paid during gaining studies but I know that the reserved category students of SC/ST were given scholarship from external website during their studies which were exactly the same they paid during their admission time. After completion of 3 years degree some companies come to recruit us and infact during the last year/third time there were internships organized from companies like tcs, cognizant, and l&t. So, job placements is guaranteed here without worrying about it and full focus on studies. Techers always supports to become job ready.

Campus Life

5

Our college celebrates lots of fests every year they are Entourage, Talaash, Kani, Arthanomics, Detour, and Shout. It's alot as compared to other colleges and each and every fest is celebrated with full energy and confidence. Nearly, each and every student who has enrolled in this fest spent a full year working hard in it and every year becomes full of enjoyment and free of education but this students with enjoyments study very hard to not get behind with their career options. The library is fully air-conditioned and it is vast there are many seats available to seat and study with having silence. Educational books and subjects book are available in plenty options and you can take with you also by submitting your id card to the man sitting on the desk. Classrooms are very clean and tidy It's accredited with NAAC third time because of its cleanliness and social fest. On the campus ground Samsung, MI companies come for sponsorships by being professional in their sports to compete with students.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I'm from Uttar Pradesh and to pursue further education I came to Mumbai and studied very hard to be In Jai Hind College. I lived Colaba area and there is a hostel for students named Prabhakar hostel for boys and girls. I paid a total of 22500 for a year of hostel fees. And In that money, I got a room with 2 other college students making it 3 students in a room it was a 1 BHK flat with bathroom and kitchen place provided. The meal was distributed 3 times a day in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The daily night we used to get milk to drink. Quality of food was normal and food items were dal, rice, vegetables and some times in special occasion me and every student used to get special dishes like biryani and pulav. I came to know about this hostel from my uncle who was used to live there in his 20-30's time he used to work as a carpenter and by staying there he developed a friendship with the owner of the hostel. There are 10-12 flats of the hostel and is build with 3-floor storey building

It's average or below average in term of real world experience curriculum there no such thing. Teaching is not bad there are big screen in class to teach from and blackboard. But most students don't know anything about the real world projects and techniques. Syllabus is controlled by mumbai University is too told and does not have any use in real world industries which need to be changed and most important since IT sector is something which advances and changes each year

Course Curriculum Overview:

I\n Chose this course in specific this college.Because first of all , it was afforrable as compared to others institutes.I can say that we weren't getting any experience which can prepare us for the real world experience like we were made to sit in workshops which was not at all connected to our curriculum. And then later on, when we said we don't want to attend it.We were given lame excuses like this will help you. And we will give you certificates for this. And later on , we were given nothing. Course needs a lot of improvement.I guess because they doesn't favor student feedbacks. The exam are typically in june and depends upon ycmou college dosent have any role to it and its not that difficult with basic knowledge you can score well.
