Entrance Preview

I took MHT-CET and got admission through it at MIT,Pune. My score was 162/200 I knew during the admission process that it is one of the Top colleges in Pune. Being a educational hub , there are hundreds of Engineering colleges in and around Pune. I guess MIT stood 3rd among the private colleges in the city.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Since the college comes under Pune University the courses were decided by the University committee. Courses are revised after every 5 years which I think is pretty decent. Couple of subjects were quite boring as in they were simply theory and tested just memory capacity during exams.I guess they should include more practical subjects so as to better equip the student for industries.

Internships Opportunities

Computer Engg didn't had internship but we had final year projects which were sponsored by companies. College provided all the assistance in helping the students to avail such projects. In fact many of the students received the final projects through the college itself.

Placement Experience

4.5

They are were good. The MIT group consist of three Engg colleges so the campus placements used to be common for all these. Companies start placements for students in their third year second semester. Most of the students having no backlog and aggregate of above 60 % and more do get placed.Since almost all the MNC's do visit to college for placement.

College Events

5

Our college was best at this. First year when we joined the college it was Silver jubilee for the college and there used to be many events. I have witnessed National and International level Robocon event hosted by our college. There used to be technical festivals of each department which used to be amazing weeklong events.

Fees and Financial Aid

College wise there wasn't any such scholarship but there were government scholarship for EBC.I had taken a bank loan which was granted hassle free.

Alumni/Alumna

I guess alumni network is good , during the gatherings there used to alumni meet and I remember noted alumni of the college sharing thoughts. It used to be inspiring to hear them.

Exam Structure

We used to have regular university semesters i.e two exams per year. It included theory and practicals.Between these exams there used to be mid terms conducted by the college itself for self evaluation of the students. Labs used to be almost daily for different subjects. I guess it was not very hectic but we used to spend decent amount of hours in college. There used to be bunks at times.

Admission

Admission process seemed average , people were co-operative. We needed to submit the original documents at college which required to wait for long queue .The notification were sent through the newspapers since we had a common CAP round through out the state. So there were hardly any confusions.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
