WBJEE Civil Engineering was at a boom during the period of 2005, and this was one of the few private engineering colleges in West Bengal to have an infrastructure to teach CE at that point of time.

Internship is not applicable in our course curriculum. Though, we had to submit a project in our 7th semester, and for that we needed to work in any company for a month or more.

In CE there was most probably a 100% placement in 2009. Other streams also did extremely well that year. Do not remember package details exactly, but Indian Air Force, Larsen & Toubro, NTPC and Simplex were a few giants who offered good packages.

During my time, semester fees were around Rs. 15000.00. Presently, I don't have much idea, but have heard it has increased a lot. So, with the fees I had to pay, I think it was extremely feasible.

I did not avail any. And neither do I think our college provides any loan or scholarship. It absorbs students as per WBJEE, AIEEE & J.Lat. Exam ranks.

I travelled from home, and hence did not avail hostel facilities. College did not exactly have a hostel of its own in those days, but these were some messes in and around the college campus, and people seemed to be quite happy there.

I still am in touch with my seniors as well as juniors. I was friends with 3 batches above and 2 batches below me. Seniors used to help us in all ways possible, and we passed down the same culture to our juniors.

Apart from the main semesters, we had two unit tests, marks of which were added to the main semester results. We had to take these tests under very strict monitoring, and this eventually helped us in being better prepared for the semesters. Hence, includi

Faculty was very knowledgeable and friendly. They knew what to teach, how to teach, and also how to handle the growing egos of teenagers. We hardly ever landed up in any nuisance during those amazing 4 years.
