Prathin's Review On NMAM Institute Of Technology - [NMAMIT], Udupi

I got in through CET exam and regular entrance process followed by Karnataka board of engineering. Once procedures related to my documents were completed, joining dates were mentioned.

As this college was autonomous afflicted to VTU syllabus, courses were well designed and thought well. More importance was given an theory than practical which is not appreciated. Though Project work I'm final year payed off for our experience for good job hunt.

College was not providing any internships yet few students have managed to get few internships outside college as college has good reputation.

Good college in terms of placements as compared to other colleges in South Canara. There has been 90+ % of campus placements and few of them managing to grab 2 or more companies offer. Package ranges from 3lpa to 10 lpa differing from core company to service companies.

Lot of national level events were conducted in the college which varied from technical to cultural events. Exhibition, CSR activities, voluntary services were given importance which added value to the resume and also helped students develop responsiblities towards society.

Fee keeps varing as per college norms but fee structure for students who get seat through CET was same through out for that batch which was of 2 parts, state fee + college fee. Total fee for the year 2013 was around rs 50000. Management seats vary as per student score.

Scholarship was provide for students who have scored well in +2. Loan facilities were also available.

Internal assessment were conducted once in a month, exams followed by 3rd assessment. Labs were handled well though any of the experiments conducted in the lab were not asked in the exam. Experiments to assess the intellect were asked more than the book question and answers.

Regular entrance process followed by Karnataka board of engineering was followed for admission. There was pool of colleges thought out Karnataka amongst which based on our CET ranking we had option to select colleges of our choice.Once procedures related to my documents were completed, joining dates were mentioned.
