I had a great time there. The only problem with this department or hans raj college are the office staffs. They are very slow at their work and they are either on leave or they are busy doing nothing and unnecessarily delay the work. The college provides

I appeared for MSTAT conducted by Indian Statistical Institute and JAM conducted by IIT (Rank was 400+) for the subject of Statistics.

Only one company visited campus for intership, Dunnhumby. They paid 40k per month for the 2 month internship and also offer PPO if you are good enough as per their criteria. They usually take 2/3 interns. There was also a paid internship programme offered by MOSPI(Ministry of statistical programme implementation) which undertook 5/6 interns. Monthly stipend was 3-4K. Other than that people usually do off campus internship during the summer vacation.

30% got placed on campus. Highest package offered by Dunnhumby : 8. 25lac/annum. Lowest Package Gazelle:3Lac/annum. Companies visited campus:Dunnhumby, EXL, Cognizent, i3 consulting, Absolutdata, Gazelle, RSA, AIG, The Smart Cube, RMS.

We celebrated freshers welcome and farewell in a grand way. We also used to celebrate Saraswati Puja. The Alumni Meet called Rendezvous used to be organised in a banquet. It was a formal event and used to be grand too. Department also participated in an inter-college&inter-department competition called Antardhanvi. It was a huge 2-3 day event.

Fee structure is affordable. The admission fee for 2years was around Rs. 24000. At the beginning of the sessions for both the years we had to pay around Rs. 12000 for admission.

I didn't avail any from the college. But GOI offers Indira gandhi scholarship for single girl child if you are the only child and a girl and can maintain your score greater than 60% then you get Rs40000 for these two years(i. e 20000 rupees per month)

Campus life is extremely vibrant. Lot of things to explore on your on. Lot of eateries of all ranges. Huge campus, broad roads, beautiful parks, Ridge Forest.

Hostel seats were based on ranks secured during entrance exam. Since I stood first among girls i got a single room. The girls who secured ranks below me were alloted double sharing rooms. seats are limited. not everyone gets hostel accomodation. Hostel ca

Seniors are always there to reach out to you. If anyone fails to get a job on campus, they always try their best to forward their juniors CV or try to pass on the information regarding various vacancies. They also helped us immensely during our course work i. e Project for the fourth semester.

It was chilled out. We had to do few assignments each semester. We had mid sems and final sems. None of them were that hectic. We had enough time roam about and enjoy ourselves.
