Remarks

There are some scholarships like a single mother then they opt for the Jodhshing one and they take an exam before admission and they need pass certificate Xerox, mark sheet Xerox mark sheet of 10 and 10+2 and for PG, they need UG to provide certificates and mark sheet. They have good laboratory exposure and hands-on experience is the main focus that help to develop the practical knowledge and other knowledge also boosted by teachers. They thought you every necessary thing which you need in future. The minimum mark's needed is 60%.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Faculty members are always helpful. They thought you everything according to the course and also things from out side like Research Articles, Journals, majority of faculty are the ex alumni of IIT Kgp, some of them are alumni of oxford. I choose the course because I have a dream about this part.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

In the campaign drive, we get offers like Marketing representatives, sales personal, food safety officers, hospital jobs, QC. But in an internship, our college helps us to find one or we are also allowed to find our own like with the help of internsala.

Placement Experience

4

Placement occurs on the basis of your performance in the exams taken by the company and also the selection is done by GD and sometimes open to all campaign drives are observed. Above 80% of people got a place and the average is 4 to 6 LPA but in the time of Covid placement drive company decrease their package. I am going for masters after getting the result.

Fees and Financial Aid

275000 in 3 years of ug course and there are one scholarship which is named Jodhsing scholarship. In this scholarship, they have some level of criteria like a single parent, financial level. Now 31000 Rs is fees for per semester. 1200 Rs for form fillup of every semester final semester exam.

Campus Life

5

There are many books in our library. We get our books from that library. Library opening time is college hours and there are late submissions fine present. In the library, you get a house research journal which name is NCMR. In sports Cricket, Football, Volleyball tournament organizes by JIS INSTITUTE.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is ok. You get hot water, 24/7 water electricity, food are provided within the hostel campus. The hostel is not on campus so you get bus service every day. 3 and 2-bed rooms are available. Shared bathrooms are present. 24/7 security are present in hostel premises.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
