Remarks

Overall I would say it's a decent and a pretty good college.

Entrance Preview

I had taken K-CET and COMED-K entrance examinations. But by CET rank was really bad like almost 10k which I lost hopes in this college. But whereas in COMED-K, my rank was around 5k which was a kinda decent score. So,basically I got in through COMED-K and this college I wanted because for my ranking I preferred as the placements over here are pretty good than other colleges which come at par with this college (bnmit, nmit, rnsit etc).

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure over here is the same as VTU syllabus apart from that, the college organizes workshops and seminars which are beneficial for the students. The laboratories are good with the newest software. There is also a newly opened research laboratory where students, as well as teachers, can use it.

Internships Opportunities

The college does not provide internships. rather they'll help students to find one. A company called Endurance had come to recruit students for their internship where the students had to undergo many rounds of aptitude, technical and hr to get into it.

Placement Experience

4.5

Most of the students join this college only for placements many tier1 and tier2 companies come for placements. Almost all of the students who are eligible for placements gets placed.20-30 companies come every year and the students get placed a year before they pass out average package:5-6 LPA, highest package:12-14 LPA, lowest package:2.5-3 LPA.

College Events

4.5

There is one main fest called UTSAHA in the even semester .For this fest the will be almost 1.5k to 2k crowd. Its an inter college fest .so, people from all over Bangalore will come to witness this fest branch fests will be going on throughout the year. This is also an inter college fest there will be one technical fest every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any scholarships but yes the college provides scholarships for the poor and needy, for talented students but there will be certain criteria which will have to be fulfilled to avail the scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

There are an almost equal number of girls and boys in the college many workshops will be conducted for students and also there will be many technical and cultural competitions throughout the year in which the students can participate and get prizes there are students of all kinds and from different countries. gender equality is maintained in college no politics based on economic status , everybody is treated equally.

Hostel Facilities

4

As I did not stay in the hostel i don't know much about hostel facilities but as people have told the hostel food is pretty good and neatly maintained there will be free wifi facility, different cooks for NRI students the boy's hostel is within the campus whereas girls hostel is about 3km from college . the college provides bus facilities for girls hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni's are talented and are working in very good companies or studying further in different countries the seniors are cool .They are very friendly.

Exam Structure

There will be two-semester end exams in December and June for every semester 3 internals the difficulty level of the exam is medium anybody who will study can get a distinction also, there will be lab exams also in each semester study holidays will be given before exams.

Admission

Admission process here was not really difficult the people in the office are really kind and helped me in the admission process. We should go collect the admission form from the office and then fill it(we'll have to attach our marks card of 10,12 and the allotment letter from COMED-K). They'll tell the college fee and we should get a DD or cheque.

Faculty

4.5

All of the faculty members have completed M.Tech and also the college is allowing to do Ph.D . so, now few of the teachers are PhDs. The teachers are helpful and kind. They will clear the doubts of students whenever required and are understanding. They will motivate the students to take part in extracurricular activities and to do something new.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
