Remarks

I chose FCRIT, Vashi because of the positive experience my sibling had in the same college. Admissions were given on the basis of MH-CET or JEE score. We were supposed to apply through the DTE Maharashtra website. Other than these criteria, 10th and 12th board exam marks had criteria too.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum and faculty are up to the mark and ad expected. The faculty is prepared for the lectures taken and is ready to solve doubts whenever needed. Exams and tests are taken very seriously with class tests having cut-offs too and failing to get enough marks gets you into remedial lectures which helps students learn more and make sure that they understand the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

If students need help with finding internships, the faculty helps them apply through the college. These can start from the 2nd year of engineering itself and are very useful for students who don't have much exposure to the industry.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placements in the last year. However, placement training is provided from the third year itself. Companies like TCS, CarWale, LTI, etc. come every year with various packages.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure includes tuition fees, development fees, etc. Scholarships are available. Campus jobs, especially for IT, which department I am a part of, are in abundance, and college training is also provided. The process is well taken care of.

Campus Life

The campus is perfect for a college. It's always tidy. There are mainly 2 fests that happen every year conducted by the students' council and some teachers. They are always fun to be a part of. There's a library for students which is available for hostelites after classes end.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Bookworms are welcome, engineers are not

The eligibility was cet and jee marks based only. The last round cutoff for this college in mechanical was around 80%ile in mhtcet. But it was higher than 95%ile in comps for general. The admission process was easy just bring a cheque and fill up few forms and give documents and done. I had choosen many other colleges over this i even got accepted in mit wpu and talen admission but i am a local mumbai person and i woshed to stay here so i gave up that admission. I also didnt get admission in the crce bandra due to only a small difference in the cutoff. And i had no idea about the ACAP rounds. I understood about acap and tried taking admission in vesit chembur in robotics but idk i changed my mind and stayed in fcrit because i thought i dont like coding at all and thus staying in core mechanical would help me sustain my engineering life....Read More
