Remarks

The management (not the faculty) is a bit rude when addressing the problems of the students. Overall the college life is good only disadvantage being the absence of societies.

Entrance Preview

IP university entrance exam for BBA. My rank was 2258. I got admission in 2nd counselling. This is best college for BBA in IP university.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course curriculum is vast. If you come from a commerce background chances are that you will be familiar with the subjects in 1st and 2nd semester. The subjects are Financial accounting, micro and macro economics, principles of managment, maths ( Integration and difference) and personality development. In the 2nd and 3rd year the curriculum is a little in depth but nothing difficult. The exams are 70% theory even for accounting subjects.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, college provides internships or we can say it provides us a chance to get internships. In my time 2 companies were open for internship- Amrapali and S.P.A.

Placement Experience

3

If you want a job after doing this course chances are that you will find atleast 1 if you sit in placements at Maharaja Surajmal. Although the profiles are mostly customer service oriented and packages range from 2-3 L per annum. There is no restriction for the number of companies interviews you can sit in. The companies which came during my time were IBM, Aon, concentrix, South Indian Bank. Also, placement cell provides you the notification for off campus placements for companies like EY, Vivo, Grofers etc.

College Events

2.5

There are cultural, technical and environmental festivals yearly held namely Genesis, enva and Avensis which gives you the opportunity to participate or be a part of the organizing team. But the negative is that all events happen within a span of 4-5 days. Sometimes parallel to each other. Participation can be done by giving interviews and is also a good way to showcase your talent.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is around 70-80k per annum which is reasonable when you compare with Private colleges and very expensive when comparing with Delhi University colleges. In the first year 40k goes to the university and 30 goes to the college and after the first year all the amount goes to the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not aware of any scholarships or loan facilities. Only know about management quota admissions which will provide you admission by giving some donation if you have a poor rank.

Campus Life

3.5

Boys:Girls ratio is very poor in the college. Specially in the 2nd shift. The ratio could be 80:20 in a class. One disadvantage of studying in this college is absence of Societies in the college. In case of genders, race, relogion there is complete harmony. People from different economic backgrounds are also present.

Hostel Facilities

4

Although I did not live in hostel as I lived in the same city, the hostel facility are somewhat average. No idea about the mess food but the college canteen food is below average. There are fast food joints present outside the college which provide better quality food than the college canteen.

Alumni/Alumna

Got a chance to meet 1-2 alumni of college and they were really helpful in providing guidance. Some alumni also came with there companies for conducting placement activities.

Exam Structure

There are 3 sets of exams in a semester. 2 are your internal exams which carries 25% weightage and 3rd is your end sem exam which carries 75% weightage. 50% are the passing marks for any subject. You also get 4-6 grace marks in maximum 1 subject if you fall short. Also, marking in internal is little bit on the lenient side.

Admission

Gave the entrance exam. Waited for the result which took approximately a 2 months. After that I waited for the Cutoff list which took another 15-20 Days. The overall process takes time and the university is poor at addressing to any grievances. Before the cutoff comes out you have to enter your top 5-6 choices of colleges. Make sure you enter the relevant choices as allotment is done on that basis only.

Faculty

4

The faculty of this college is extremely qualified. There are some extremely talented people who can provide you with all round knowledge and provide assistance. The faculty can be both- very disciplined and very lenient. All depends on the impression you have created on them. Overall mostly every lecturer is helpful as and when required.
