Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is up to date and relevant with the practical world. As Law needs to be practiced and learned well, the curriculum is excellent for that which insures overall development of students.

Internships Opportunities

5

The law students must do internship in their 3rd year till the final year. There are assigned delegates to provide details regarding the same however they expect the students to find internship on their own at the first place.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are good, students can beg upto 8-10 lakh or more with their efforts as well. The number of students getting placement is also decent for about more than half of the students of a class get placed. However I looking for some off campus placements due to variety available in my career.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fee (as per 2023): 1 Lakh 21 Thousand only Tuition Fee: 1 Lakh University fee: 20 Thousand Student Insurance: 150 rupees Maintainance: 1000 rupees The fee doens't increase for the ongoing batch however the new batches might see some difference in their fee structure.

Campus Life

5

There are various events throughout the year, such as the annual sports meet, fest, ethnic day, garba day and a lot more. Educational fest such as heckathone also happen a lot in the college. There is NCC and NSS available for students to participate and also various societies such as dance, drama, music, sports, environmental etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are good, not really excellent. The facilities are basic . They do have electricity the whole time however there can be power shortage for few minutes. The mess food is nice and decent. The annual fee for hostel is around 65 thousand without the mess charges, the mess charges must be paid monthly and separately.

Admission

The college is affiliated by the university I chose to get into but couldn't. Therefore it's a best college to choose after the university because of the versatility of teaching staff, the resources for education and the efforts of the college to maintain trust in it's students.

Faculty

4

On an average the student teacher ratio is good. The teachers are really the masters of their subjects and they do provide guidance and excellent sources for research purpose as well. The exam pattern is simple, for instance, in Law there are 40 marks internals and 60 marks externals. In Internals the students must submit assignments on time, be consistent to the classes, and should score well in the mid sem exams. The external are the end sem exams of whole 60 marks. The question papers for these exams are prepared according to the university guidelines.

Night Life

3

The night life isn't really great as the hostels have an in time of 7pm for girls. However you can play in the badminton court or around the area till 10pm. Till 7pm one can enjoy the cafes around the college area as well as the weekly market that happens on every Saturday.

Other Applied Colleges

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University - [GGSIPU] | Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}

I couldn't get the university because of my own rank however the college I'm studying at is really nice and the teachers are really helpful

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why i chose to pursue the degree of BA.LLB is because of enlightenment and awareness it gives to an individual about what is happening around them and the legal and fundamental rights of a common person with no political power in India. The curriculum somewhat prepares student for a real world experience as the degree involves internships from 3rd year onwards. I'm still learning myself so can't tell what's there to improve in studies and the syllabus. 2 exams being held every semester, that is internals and the externals. It comes with a leniency though, because it could be harder but isn't, just enough shall be gone through before the exams. Even if someone pays attention in the class with no notes and not being busy on the phone, he/she can still pass easily.

At our college to get the PPO is the best way as college hardly has placements opportunities to be honest. Most law colleges though face this issue as placement for law college happens only at top NLUs and all.

Highest package was of 12 lakhs which was offered by Trilegap to one of our students and it was because she herself earned PPO by interning with them for four months. College placements aren't that good as not many lawyers or law firms come to our college for placements.

Not many as Arbitration lawyers and some law chambers which are a prominent name have approached our college to send some students for interview. So, I think PPO is the best way to find placements for students studying law.

Only 30-40 percent studnets get placed at a salary of some 30-40k as conversion ratio of actual placement is quite low here. We get enough help and assistance but actually only a few manages to. For those who does well in internships gets a direct PPO as our college is a cult name when it comes to legal studies.
