Likes
- VIPS has the strongest building as it accomodates nearly 2500 students in its 8 floor modern standardized building.
- The academic building is fully air-conditioned as even the corridors have ACs.
- We also have indoor playing rooms seperate for girls and boys.
Dislikes
- In International moots we don't see much foreign students participation.
Course Curriculum Overview
Academics have been made very serious as students gets numbers for representing college at national events. So, this gives extra motivation to participate in events and contributing to the best of our ability. GGSIPU gives 30% weightage to internals and therefore most students here are seen doings moots and MUNs regularly.
Internships Opportunities
Intenrships are provided as per students year. Also, other acumen like the marks and interviews has to be in order to grab the best internships from VIPS. Firms like Luthra, Trilegal and others also helps us get to intern with them but only after 3rd year.
Placement Experience
Batch size for BBA LLB is of 300 so, I think out of 300 that pass out every year around 100 or more placed from campus. For a law school other than National Law Universities this is a figure which is quite fair.
Fees and Financial Aid
I joined VIPS this year and my fees for the college is 75000 per semester. Registration charges and deposits and events charges were paid other than fees. The fees increases by 10k on year and year basis and thus total course fees for law will be in and around 8 lakhs. Quite reasonable as other private colleges charges much more than this.
Campus Life
Initio is our annual event with a lot of fun, music, dance and a large gathering. Having said that we have an infrastructure that helps us organize all the law events be it organizing international moots or the National Level MUN Competitions. Number of societies are very as I am a part of two and planing to add more in the coming semester.
Admission
GGSIPU all the colleges I checked out and without a debate Vivekanand School of Legal Studies wins it hands down. Admission through CLAT scores and even IPU entrance scores are accepted. Migrating students are also given admission depending upon their health scores. Those who have nothing from this can take admission through management quota.
Faculty
What law students should learn and know is something in which our faculties hold the biggest command. They have been the nurturing source of the college as just like Barcelona FC has its academy to nurture the talent, VIPS has hired the faculties to nurture the students. Some students are non serious as otherwise all the faculties undoubtedly are very serious about their job.
Night Life
Our campus because it doesn't have a hostel closes off by 7 pm. Only during events I have seen it operate till 9 or 10, otherwise it isn't open. Pitampura and Rohini have many hangout places and therefore we hardly go beyond that to hangout.
