Entrance Preview

I came to this college through my JEE mains score. The location which is quite near to my hometown made made me chose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course I opted for is Computer Science and Engineering. I chose this course since IT industries is doing well these days and this Dept. has the maximum placement ratio. The curriculum that is followed is enough to produce to sound engineer out of an ordinary student.

Internships Opportunities

No, The college does not provide internship. However, they conduct various workshop and training programs.

Placement Experience

The placement rate last year was 95%. This year, the process is still going on. The visiting companies till date has offered maximum package of 8 lacs, per year. Some of the companies also provide internships while some do not. The average package offered is 3.5 lacs per year.

College Events

There are technical as well,as no technical events. The main cultural event that is celebrated is Kaalrav during the month of March. Many technical events take place during Kaalrav. Other events consists of departmental fests, Freshers and Departmental farewell.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was feasible during my admissions. No idea about the present fee structure. However, the mess fee could have been a bit less or coupon system. The course and hostel fees are quite feasible. During my year, the total fee was about 2,50,000 for one year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, During my admissions, the students having more than 90% in boards and a score of 130 and above in JEE mains were offered scholarships.

Campus Life

The gender ratio for girls:boys is around 2:5. Every year an annual festival called "kaalrav" takes place, and each of the departments too conduct fests. Different academic and non-academic workshops are conducted throughout the year by the college and in collaboration with other institutes. Students from almost all the parts of the country are in the campus.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is good. An alumni meet was also conducted this year in which many of them visited the campus for interaction with the students. They are helpful.

Admission

I got admission through my score in JEE mains which is completely transparent. The admission process was done in the college itself. Everything was very systematic. Shortlisted people seeking for admission were to bring demand draft for payment of fee.

The placement was ok not really good not really bad and most of the campany that come in our campus were mass recruiters some MNCs also come, like Google but they take very low students from smit like 2-3 students

first impressions

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester onwards. companies in which some of the big names are DELL, ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, STATE STREET, KEYSIGHT TECH . The highest package is 54 LPA (google) and avg package was around 4-5 LPA. 80% students get placements. my plan is to pursue m.tech

Placement is all about your preparation as opportunities come too much but if you have power then crack that one. Highest was going in 2024 batch is 44 lpa and 66 percent was placed as there are recession going on this time due to covid all market crases.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem the campus placement starts so sutdents gets plenty of time to prepare for placements The company being visited to the campus includes Mercedes Benz India, Maruti Suzuki, Microsoft etc Hightest package ranges upto 33 lakhs and average include upto 5lakhs College offers 100% placements except Civil My plans is to get some of the working experience with the company being placed

Yeah replacement system I am not family or with this placement in all because had just recently join not just recently it's been like one and half year but also in placement system I am not focusing on that side because you know what I don't rely on this college I just need degree from this college and just want to be independent and search for job business on my own this collage is just waste of time still I am saying this tho I cannot do anything about this because I am already in second year so if I leave this college now I have no other option to do better option to do so I am I am stock in this college you can say and replacement system everything is just fine not so much good not

Placement Experience:

I do not have much idea about this field. If I'm not wrong internships begin from 2nd to 3rd year itself, and placements from 4th year. The avergae package here is around 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 56 LPA. That'll be all from side.

Review of NIT Sikkim

Placement Experience:

If you are capable enough you will be getting decent placements, Overall placement statistics lies about 80-90% with an average pacakage of 9-10 lacs per annum including 90-95% for CSE, ECE. EEE and almost 80-85% for core branches like Mechanical and Civil. Some of major past recruiters are CDAC, CDOT, BEL, VEDANTA, DELOITTE, MAHINDRA, MARUTI SUZUKI, UKG, GENPACT, BPCL, L&T, ALSTOM, NVIDIA, MICROSOFT, SLB, TERADATA, CGI and many others. Highest pacakage for the batch of 2023-24 was 44 LPA by NVIDIA and average was around 9.95 LPA. From start of the 7th semesters , the students can register themselves for placements and from 5th semester onwards student can register themselves for internship opputunities. NIT Sikkim also provide opportunities of highes studies like PhD from reputed institutes like IIT Hyderabad, IIT Delhi and some other prominent institutions as well.

SMIT a good option Option for collage If searching something near Northeast India.

Placement Experience:

The overall placement rate was around 90% the highest offered to passout student was INR 35 LPA furthermore The SMIT Average package stood at inr 6 LPA . We have Training and placement cell at sikkim manipal institute of technology to facilitate placement oppurtunities.

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester student can apply for internships and after 6th semester they can apply for placements. The average package is 7 lakh per annum and highest is based upon recession and market structure. Last year one senior got 44 lpa package from Nivida.

NIT Sikkim overall review

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from 7th sem and placement was good before but In this 2024 batch it's the worst placement of all time only 58% students got placement with less package because of recession Im looking for a placement and further plan is to work for a company

I was selected in for Downtown university but for my personal ease i choose to study in SMIT. No i was not being rejecte form any colleges.
