Remarks
Shri Ram College of Commerce, this name is itself a brand. It's the best college of India and there is no doubt about it. Especially the commerce faculty of the college is the best among the colleges of Delhi University. It was a dream cum a true experience for me to get admission in such a dignified institution. The admission was merit based. We just had to fill the form for Delhi University and wait for the cut-offs to be released. As soon as the cutoffs were released, we were able to figure out where we stand and which college are we getting. According to our preference, we could choose our college. Getting 98% in board exams helped me seek admission in SRCC without any difficulty in the first cutoff itself. I did not avail any quota. There was no counseling day as such.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.Com Hons. because I'm a student of commerce background and I have a deep interest in this field. Choosing B.com Hons. at this level would surely do me good in future. Moreover, it is one of the best courses provided by the university. The placements in this arena are very good. Talking about the student-teacher ratio, there are 60-70 students per section. The exams were online and we didn't have any trouble in giving the exams because we were well trained by the faculty beforehand.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee of my college is not very high and it however around 26,000 per year. The fee for the whole course of 3 years is around 80,000. Some relaxations are provided to the students of the weaker section. The students of the reserved section also enjoy some benefits. There are few scholarships provided by the college to the students who are unable to pay the fee due to any reason.
Campus Life
Till now I haven't been to college but I know that the annual cultural fest of SRCC is known as "Crossroads". It is one of the biggest fests in the country. Each and every year, this fest leaves no stone unturned to assure that a fest is organized like no other. The four-day long extravaganza sees an array of competitions, contests, and this fest season’s most hyped star nights. Dotted with vibrant stalls and a jolly fun zone, the SRCC campus is a happening place during the fest.One of the few names on the sponsor’s list for the event are Audi, Nescafe, Crocs, Pepsi, Vh1 etc. The last time this event was organized, some of the greatest artists came to perform there such as Benny Dayal and Nucleya. Talking about the social groups, there are various clubs and societies that are managed by the students.
