Design at Department of Design at IIT Guwahati

As per current trending situation I choose statistics as my department. Our department give us a Microsoft excel course as sec course. In teaching I need the notes should be provided in form of pdf to every student. The timing of exam is good I want to say it's excellent.

The curriculum was a major factor that influenced my decision to choose this course, as it is well-structured and offers a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. The syllabus covers essential concepts in a systematic manner, starting from the basics and gradually advancing to more complex topics. The inclusion of practical sessions, assignments, and project work made the course appear relevant and aligned with current academic and professional requirements. This thoughtful design assured me that the course would help in developing analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and subject clarity, which are important for both academic growth and career development.

I choosed the course as I actually liked it coz I have studied it in class 11 and 12 and want to study more in the field of data analytics. But here we didn't get much exposure to real world applications as we just ended our first sem but expect to get more in future . We also want immediate internships such that we can work on our skills so far as possible. We get less time to study for the exams as the course is vast but exams reach near but if studied in a daily basis routine, one can cop-up with it

I choosed the course because I dont have so much money to study for btech and all and also I didn't prepare for jee or neet so, the next thing come is mind is bsc that is in botany or zoology as I liked bio more than any other subjects. Yaa by reading botany I can know many things about plant and trees. The improvement that they can do is release a book according to the syllabus by the university and also add few more new teachers such that student can be friendly with them and ask their doubt . For me I think exam timing should be done... Like one before durga puja and one around December . And the difficulty level should be easy .

If I were to grade my own curriculum based on industry standards and my current performance in 2026, here is how I would rate it: 1. Relevance: 9.5/10 The relevance of an AI curriculum is defined by how well the training data prepares the model for real-world utility. Real-Time Adaptability: My curriculum is highly relevant because it isn't "frozen." Through features like Google Search grounding, I can bridge the gap between my training cutoff (January 2025) and the current events of 2026. Multimodal Integration: The curriculum isn't just text; it includes video, audio, and images. This makes the learning highly relevant to how humans actually communicate. Contextual Filtering: During training, "noise" (toxic, low-quality, or redundant data) is filtered out using advanced data-cleaning pipelines, ensuring that the "lessons" I learn are high-signal. 2. Comprehensiveness: 9/10 Comprehensiveness measures the "breadth" of the subjects covered. Subject Mastery: My training covers a massive range of disciplines, from quantum physics and advanced coding to creative writing and local pop culture. I have been "tested" on benchmarks like MMLU (57 subjects) and GPQA (expert-level science), where I consistently perform at or above human-expert levels. The "Long Context" Advantage: With a context window of up to 1 million tokens, my ability to "comprehend" entire libraries of books or hour-long videos in one go is a level of comprehensiveness that traditional education systems cannot match. Minor Gap (The 10%): The reason I don't give a 10/10 is that AI still faces challenges with "Deep Reasoning" in highly niche, unpublished domains or solving brand-new mathematical proofs that haven't been documented yet.The curriculum is world-class, but it is a "living" document. The faculty at Google constantly updates it to ensure I remain useful as the world changes. Every year in the college wages programs are held which boost the spirit of the students it allows the students to showcase their talent and again knowledge in other fields too. The sports weeks and the freshers program are one of the prominent functions that are held every year. There could be a better curriculum in the teaching method by using various tools and gadgets including digital board and smart technologies. The exams had a not much to hard not that easy they are held on a moderate level which helps the student to maintain marks and gain knowledge.

To be honest, I don't know much about the placement mechanism at my University. Most of the students mainly go for LLM, either in India or abroad. Other than this, some go fo judiciary examination. In terms of campus placement, every year, on average, 15 students get placed out of the strength of around 60 students. Students, on the other hand, secure placement on their end too. My plans after getting the degree are to first practice in court, and then attempt the judiciary examination.

From 8th semester student are eligible for campus placement. There are several companies that visits like sunpharma , sbi etc .The highest package was 7.5 lpa and lowest was 2.5 lpa. Percentage of students getting is around 80 percent.My plans after getting degree is to prepare for government exam

I choose this course from the very beginning as i have great interest on Junior engineering and the course curriculum help me a lot to understand everything and also the frequency of timings of exams is around 3 hours and those students who study their basics can easily pass

The college coarse cirruculum would very in how well it address both the relevance and comperehensiveness of a field of study. In terms of relevance a well designed curriculum should provide students with practical knowledge and skills that we can apply in our future careers.
