Remarks

Pros:Christ University provides the best ROI in terms of placements. The curriculum is very much similar to IIM pattern.I spoke to few seniors who provided me the insights about the curriculum which is based on practical assignments.Cons:The time management for students can be a challenge. There are rules in the college which sometimes doesn?Ûªt make sense (eg dress code)The competition is unhealthy given the size of the student batch (700 in central campus and 250 in Kengeri campus)The entire process happened in January 2019 and the session started on 30th May 2019.I chose this college looking at the placement records which has been consistent over t years.

4.5

Faculty student ratio: 1:20The faculties are well-qualified in their respective field. Mostly phD holders. The exams conducted were always tough. The questions will never be asked straightforward. You will have to be updated on latest issues to answer the questions.

We received a lot of companies for Summer Internship Project too.Oracle, SRF, Nutanix came for HR. There were several companies for other specialisations too.The projects were based on real life business problems. Given the situation of pandemic, most of the students of my batch received projects on COVID specific situations.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is the best when compared to other Tier-3 B schools in Bangalore. For MBA HR it is 7.7 lakhs for 2 years. The fee structure has been the same since 6-7 years. There are scholarships available for the students based on merit and need.

Campus Life

4.5

There are tons of fests throughout the year. 1. USHUS2. Magnovite 3. CHRIZZELLENZ are some of the prominent ones for MBAThe libraries are well updated. There 4 libraries for MBA in central campus and 2 libraries for MBA in Kengeri campus. The classrooms and auditoriums are well equipped with projectors and modern equipment. There are clubs for students for cultural activities, sports and Arts.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels are available in both the campuses and very well kept neat. The mess facility is not available so the students have to buy food from the canteens. The availability of hostels is based on first come first served basis. There are PGs and flats available right outside the campuses.

Placement Experience:

Last year due to recession the placements were low comparatively. From semester 7 onwards we are eligible for campus placements. I do not exactly have the correct statistics, but all the students who tried outside got the jobs easily. Highest package 32 lacks and least goes upto 3 lacks per annum. Last yearpercentage of students placed is 66 and before that it was more than 90 My plan is to get a good job, after the degree and if I cannot get a good job then I will go for higher studies abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is not at all relevant, they are still teaching us subjects like c and electronics. For eg - in our 4th semester we have vb.net as our programming language which is very outdated langauge. There were also two language subjects - general English and additional language (hindi,English, kannada) which I think is kind of useless to learn two language in BCA.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements by the start of the 7th semester, and the internships by the 5th semester. Since Mangalore has many MNCs, most of the campus drives start with those companies. We have an average package of 18LPA and it varies according to each branch of engineering. Mostly all the computer science-related branches have 23LPA as their average and the core branches have 14LPA. Almost 95 per cent of the students get placed. The highest package has even crossed 50LPA.
