Remarks

The fee is less as compared to the colleges of similar stature( new IIMs). Every student gets a high quality laptop and there is a Global field study program wherein each student is sent abroad and a major part of the expense is borne by the institute. Also, the mix of undergrads and post grads helps in keeping up with the latest advancements which gets missed while you are in a PG focussed college. The campus was also an added factor along with the institute being in the national capital.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The faculty is students ratio is decent. The profs are really supportive and are mostly available. The industry knowledge that the profs possess is tremendous and their connect with the corporates helps us in establishing means to know the corporate world from the inside. Most of the faculty are highly experienced and come from old IIMs with a pile of research papers on their name. All the exams were timely held and the doubts cleared. The exams are moderately tough which is expected from such a high end institute and the quality of students getting in. It takes effort to score but the learn that comes with it is worth all the efforts.

Internships Opportunities

5

Every student is provided with an internship opportunity. The stipend reports are also available on the website ( https://dms.iitd.ac.in/ ).

Placement Experience

4.5

All the placement related queries can be found in the placement report of Department of Management studies, IIT Delhi. There is 100% placement. So there is no point of no campus placement. The students sit for placements in 3rd and 4th semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is taken in 4 parts ( per semester basis). The total comes up between 9-10 lakhs. The option to take an education loan is available with the banks. This institute comes under the list of premium institutes so banks provide the loan without colletral. The placement is 100% with an average of around 22.69 for last year. The reports of this year are yet to be published. I will be joining a MNC as a manager. ( Sorry cannot disclose the stipend but it's a nicely paid job).

Campus Life

5

The campus life is the best as compared to any B-School. It has a vast campus all filled with greenery. An open air theatre, a students activities club containing all the major sports, gyms, swimming pools, all the major indoor sports. The hostels have their separate outdoor and indoor sports spaces with all the equipments. Each hostel has its own separate gym. There is a central cricket ground connected with a basketball and football court. It has 4 tennis courts and 4 volleyball courts. All this is separate from the hostel courts. There is ccd and chayyos inside campus. Every point is connected with electric bikes and cycles which can be taken up and left t any designated points in the campus. There are other food courts in the campus too which are functional till dinner time. After which the night messes open up. So there is availability of food round the clock. The main attraction is the India's biggest festival. Rendezvous! There are other fests as well like Kaizen, Parivartan, etc. Which keep happening round the year. Parivartan is a flagship fest of the Department of Management studies. This also includes sports fest as well. The clubs are more than one can remember. Dance club, Drama club, sports club, edc, marketing club, strategy club, operations club. There are committees too including the alumni committee, industry interaction committee, NIVAH, sports committee, etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

Opted for hostel. Amazing facilities in a budget expense. All the major outdoor and indoor games available. Food is given 3 times in a day with a light drink in the evening. The meals included a variety of food all around the country. The options are set in a way that everyone gets something of their choice in every meal. The basic meal includes a pulse, rice, chapatti, curd/raita, salad, which is accompanied by special add ons. There are days when foods like chole bhature and pao bhaji are given. Some days in week are party days which include fast food like rolls, stuffed veggies, noodles, maggi, choco fudge, shakes and likewise. Overall the menu is one that would surely keep you satisfied. The most amazing thing is the cleanliness and the punctuality of the timings and the staff. Allotment is done by the institute. In the room we have almirah, table chairs, mirror, beds, fan and a wifi port.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is MSC operations research, which is a very vast and deep course. It goes deep into understanding business operations and providing the businesses with best quality steps. There were real life projects which have helped me alot in understanding difficult topics. If there could be more projects it would have been more helpful for studies. The exams level is moderate to difficult, have to study hard to perform good in tests/exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Campus placements are must here as we may not have higher degrees like other engineering college students. But we are younger and more enthusiastic and also we have the skillsets which has been taught to us at our college. A salary of 30 to 40 thousand is offered to us at the initial placements from our college.
