Remarks
I applied for BSc Life Science in Delhi University, my marks were not that much so that I was eligible to take admission in Shivaji College, marks were counted on the basis of marks obtained in PCB because I have had to take admission in BSc, there were no counselling after clearing cut-off we just had a need to go to college for documents verification and pay fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course because I was clear since high school that I wanted to go to the research field, and this course (BSc Life Science) provide us with a lot of opportunities for higher studies in research, so this was the thing which was in my mind, faculty for our course is great, teachers are well educated, knowledgeable, and the way they teach is just outstanding, even a weak student can understand each topic depth. Teachers are very helpful, our course is of 3 years (6 semesters) overall, for every year 2 semesters exams are conducted by the college, well exam are quite moderate anyone can pass the exam by just revising 10 years question paper.
Internships Opportunities
Some Pharmaceutical companies visit our college to provide internships to last year students, projects are given like you have to make any chemical in chemistry labs have to prepare data. First, they taught freshers what to do then give them projects and then students perform.
Placement Experience
I will go for the higher degree after my BSc, there are placements in our college but mostly for maths students, as I am a Biology student there are no more placements for us anywhere, but still, our college provides 30% placement for us in pharmaceutical companies and labs, the highest package offered is 4 -6 lakhs per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure for BSc Life Science is not that much costly, fees for the overall course is 60,000 and for a year that is 20,000 which is moderate to a middle-class family. Our college provides scholarships like single girl child scholarships and so on. Also, fees concession methods are there for those who belong to the economically weak section.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted by the college in the month of January - February, every student waits for fest session because a lot of crowds come there to see fest and a lot of enjoyment we feel.
