Remarks

The admission process was really smooth. As only students are allowed to get the documents verified. So my parents were not allowed to come with me. I have to do all the things on my own. In the starting I was nervous but there were seniors to help me, there were many NSS volunteers helping students in filling up forms. I was told to take my token no. From the admission desk and had to wait for my turn. I get my 10th and 12 marks sheet verified from the admission in charge and was told to pay the fee through the link sent to me from the college. After paying the fee admission was done. The cut off for zoology honours revolve around 90-94% for the general category student.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Zoology was a subject of interest for me and that's the only reason I opted for Zoology, I chose this college because it is a North campus and my percentage matched Only with its cut off. The faculty: student ratio is 1:35. The teachers are highly qualified and well versed in teaching. They use presentations to explain hard topics. They arrange tutorials to solve doubts. Exams are taken two times a year, one in November -December other in May - June.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

One can get internship opportunities throughout the year. There is no fixed month, one just has to apply on Internshala and they will keep notifying you. Apart from this, there are many commercial companies and NGOs that provide internships. The benefits are a letter of recommendation, internship certificate, stipends based on your performance. Some of the NGOs are Aasha Foundation, vishalakshmi, mushkurahat etc. They will hire you as social media handler or fundraiser. I have no idea about the commercial companies' names, I never did internships with them.

Placement Experience

3

Generally, Zoology Students don't get any placements related to their field but if they have good communication skills and fluent English. The companies may select them. The placement thing is mainly for the commerce student, who wants to get a job just after completing graduation or from the third year itself. The companies that visit are gionee, josh, coco cola, Wipro, Paytm, snapdeal, Oyo etc. They offered a good package of around 8 lakhs per year and it was the highest package offered till date. The lowest package was around 4 lakhs per annum. I want to pursue higher studies so I didn't register for getting placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for my course was around 19,000. It was a little more than other streams because it also includes lab charges. There was no such fee hike for me as my college was nearby my home so I didn't have to pay for hostels also. DRC doesn't provide scholarships but it does provide some financial assistance to the poor and disabled students. The PWD students have to pay only 100 rupees per year, while the poor students were given a concession of 10,000 -12, 000.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at college is totally amazing. Fest, exams and assignments are the three best friends of a student. It will not leave you until you leave college. In the month of Feb-march, DRC has its festival of fests. It includes colleges annual fest 'Manjhari, department's fest, societies fest and many more. The classrooms are big and are airy. Some rooms have AC facilities some have not. There are many clubs, society and organizations for extracurricular activities. Throughout the year there are competitions, games and all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
