Remarks

I have applied to DR.YS Parmar university of horticulture and forestry, a post-graduate college but I have missed out by one mark to getting admission to horticulture university, and in post-graduate college, I haven't passed the counseling. Then I decided to go with Shoolini University. There is no quota process in shoolini university it's just the normal fees that is the admission fees and the semester fees. It is not difficult to take admission here you only have to register yourself online on the university website after that you can come to the university then there will be a meeting with the department head and a small round of personal interviews and after that fee payment and certain admission process. There was an induction program which is of like 1 week there were fun activities and a group including activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

From the starting of my 10 standards, I have raised an interest in science that is why I took admission in biotechnology. This course is amazing and has a lot more interesting in it we have practicals as well as theory for the same subject. There is nothing that can deny the fact that the faculty of shoolini university is pretty amazing. Everyone is having a supportive nature and kind towards each and every student. The way of teaching is presentation as well as the board and marker they do their level best to get our queries and questions solved. There is a well-maintained friendly relation is also within the faculty and students. The faculty is highly qualified and present the lecture in a very nice and well-maintained manner. The exam was likely to happen thrice in a semester in which two of them are midterms and one is the end term examinations but in the virtual classes, it used to happen twice a semester one is end-term and the other is midterm.

Placement Experience

4.5

For three years of course from the fifth semester, students become eligible for the placements, and for the eight-semester course students become eligible from the seventh semester. Many companies have visited like Biocon, about, spectral force, mankind, Cipla and many more. The highest package for biotech students is 6 lakhs and the average is 3 lakhs or around. 80 percent is the average of students getting placements. I am planning to go for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The amount of fee I paid is a total of one lakh ninety-two thousand for my whole degree of BSc biotechnology. The fee for a semester is around thirty-two thousand. One should not pay the fees in installments if anyone has to then they have to take special permission from the accounts office. As I am doing a master's from the same university itself so according to that I got a 30000 scholarship which has been adjusted in the semester fee. An individual can get financial assistance by requesting the head of the department. There are no such jobs one can do on the campus.

Campus Life

5

MOKSH is the annual fest that used to happen in mid-march. An interdepartmental competition that happens in September or October. and there is a many competition which usually happens once a month. Our university has a big library with thousands of books in it there is a screen display in the library which helps you to find the particular book. The classrooms have whiteboards, projectors, podiums, and other necessary amenities that are always available in the classrooms. there is a lot of social groups like YOU WE CAN this is started by Yuvraj Singh and our university is a part of it. Others are GOONJ, UMANG, and many more.

Interview Experience

4

There is an interview and a test pattern for admission. The interview was through the voice call and mode for the test is online and the pattern was MCQ and is based on the previous qualification : There are no other criteria for admission rather than this. It was normal like they ask general questions in the interview and I just revise the previous syllabus for the test.

Placement Experience:

Placements are mainly offered in the 4th year. Companies start to approach students in the 7th semester. Students get internship offers in 3rd year (by 5th semester). Paytm, Amazon, Infosys, IBM, Qualcomm, and Samsung are major companies which come to campus for placement. But the no of companies coming for placement is not sufficient. The highest package offered is generally above 1 Cr. But the average is somewhere around 7-8 lakh per year. Most of the students in CSE and ECE are placed (MNC is a new branch so data regarding this is unavailable). Placements in other branch are not good.
