Course Curriculum Overview
Balanced curriculum with theoretical and practical knowledge. More practical sessions should be included in the course. Industry interaction should be provided. Appropriate frequency with moderate difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
Dev Bhoomi FPO provides internship along with ₹5000 stipend and provides transportation for the interns. Amazon Seeds also gives an excellent opportunity for the students in sales and packaging of the seeds and distribution to the farmers.
Placement Experience
Placement starts from 8th semester. Various agriculture related companies like Bayer, ITC, etc comes with offers. Highest package is 3-4 lakhs. Pursuing higher studies and build a career in agriculture sector.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for Himachal Bonafide students is ₹61,262 per semester, for Non- HP bonafide students is ₹67,500 per semester. Yearly semester fee for HP Students- ₹1,22,524 Yearly semester fee for non HP Students- ₹1,35,000
Campus Life
Lit Fest, Flower Fest, Moksh Fest in the month of march every year. Good collection of books and journals, easy accessibility. Smart classroom with wifi and projectors. Basketball court, badminton court, cricket field. Active club interactions.
Admission
Applied for a few other universities but chose this college for its curriculum and infrastructure. I didn't got any rejections from other universities that I applied. Admission is based on 10+2 criteria along with university admission criteria.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1:9. The faculty to student relationship is excellent with timely communication and assistance. Dr. Somesh provided best insights for future and was supportive throughout the course. There are 11,12 subjects per semester along with theory and practical exams.
Night Life
Gym facilities with membership and well equipped with gym equipments. Hostel timings - 9:00 PM Library is open 24*7 Nescafe cafetaria, food corners, dominoz, fruit juice shops, also gaming cafes are present the campus surroundings.
