Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is highly relevant to build textual knowledge and practical skills. Research is a major part of the cirriculum. Hands-on traning on instruments, research/review paper writing, synthesis of relavant materials to you domain, conferences, workshops are highly encouraged and provided.
Internships Opportunities
Internships opportunities are encouraged by the university. The internships are generally taken outside the university. However, some intership opportunities are provided by the university it self. Good packages in rural and urban areas are encouraged.
Fees and Financial Aid
When i was enrolled in M.Sc. Physics course the academic fee per semester was around 60000~75000. however, scholarships like meritorious scholarships are provided. Consessions are also provided based on domicile. The fee is increasing with each academic year. With a maintained CGPA the scholarships are sustained and the fee doesn't make a hole in the pocket.
Campus Life
Moksh and Manchtantra are the two major fests held in the two halves of the year. The library facilities are available in the campus as well as in the Hostels too. Common recreational areas with fun games are also available. Smart classrooms, and well ventilated spaces are present throughout the campus.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel provide 2 seater, 3 seater, and 4 seater rooms with 2 seater rooms being rarely available. the cost for 1 sem of hostel fee for 3 sharing room is around 70 K in which laundary, gym, meals, cleaning is included. Apart from hostel there are other options like PGs, Rooms are also available.
Admission
The eligibility criteria of this university is quite the same as of others like minimum 55% aggregate marks on the last degree. This university has favorable weather conditions, clean environment, with good infrasture and knowledgable faculties making it highly suitable for students.
Faculty
Faculties are very encouranging and supportive. One such faculty is, Dr. Mamta Shandilya, HOS of School of Physics and Materials Science, who has keen interests in environmentally sustainable materials with expertise in perovskite solar cells and piezoelectric materials for enery harvesting applications. She has recieved research grants from HIMCOSTE and DST-SERB in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Dr. Itika Kainthla, Dr. Sahil Kumar, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Shukla, Dr. Abhishek Kandwal, Dr. Rohit Jasrotia, Dr. Pawan Kumar are other faculties that have helped me throughout my master's journey. About the exams they were conducted both in online and offline modes.
Night Life
Gym facilities are available in the campus as well as in the hostels too. Many Cafeterias are available in the campus, as for hostel, night mess is available in the hostels with an additional cafeteria in the girls hostel specifically. 24/7 libraries are there on campus and in hostels as well. The general in timings for hostel are 9:00 PM therefor the night life remains quite unexplored.
