Remarks
I didn't apply for My college, DU was my only last resort. I availed CW quota which is basically an armed forces quotam. In this quota, each programme has 6 seats reserved under this. So basically there's this day allocated to CW category people according to their category. For example 1st category - for students whose parents died in service 7th - ex-servicemen, 8th - serving personal. So according to the category you have dates allocated b, you go to that venue, a sheet is provided where you write college according to your preferences and your docs are verified. Then the person who has the highest percentage is preferred first and whatever college he/she has written is given to them ONLY if seats are left or they go on to the 2nd college, and this is how this quota works. My admission process was different as I availed this quota, as I went to the college with my mom had to sign a few docs and it was done. There's was no counselling day as the process was late.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as it covers every part of commerce and this course helps in all the placement drives and Hons sounds supremacy types. The faculty member qualifications is graduate and the teaching method varies according to teachers, few like to use the blackboard, few dictates, a few give notes, sometimes someone uses ppts, so it varies. Our college is famous for its academics, it's very important and quite strict regarding it too. Term exams were lengthy and used to give proper exam vibes. Exams were conducted many times, we had our midterms exams, then few internal exams and finally final exams. There were kinda easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities
We did have few companies like Asahi India Glass, we had an Internhisp fair where 100+ companies used to come, roles were provided in many domains like HR, social media marketing, accountancy. There was no project as such in our college.
Placement Experience
We are eligible for placement from our 5th semester. We don't have many companies which came, but as far Asi remembers we had, Deloitte, EY, Tervista, WTW, Grand Thornton, Larson and Toubro etc. Offers made were usually low, like from 2.5-6.5 LPA max.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is considered normal and costs to study is cheap as books can be get photocopied. I Scholarship I applied for was NSP (National Scholarship Portal) In the first year and job I got was from EY as an audit associate from our college.
Campus Life
Annual fest happened every year, there were not tech fest in our college. All the book were usually outdated, remember I'm speaking from the B.Com Hons point of view. Sports usually sports team used to play, and extracurricular activities were conducted once a year. There are actually none which I know as of.
