Remarks

It is one of the fastest growing new iims. It has very good placement record. Average package is near 15 lacs per annum more than other new iims. Placement is always one of the major component while deciding college.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is spread over 6 trimester. First year you will be taught basics of each area of business. Then You will be taught domain specific subjects. Quality of teachers is very nice here. Every teacher is helpful. You will not face any issue in this.

One of the best among all the new IIMs. Most of the student are selected by tops brands such as Flipkart, Amazon etc.

College Events

There are various clubs and commitees opeated by students only. There is maelting club, Finance club and HR club. for each and every club, ypu have to go though a interview rouf prior to this. Feeling pround to join this college.

Campus Life

IIM Racnhi does not have its permanent campus as of now. The temporary campus is very nice located near the city near chief minister's office. People are very good here. They are very helpful. I am very happy to join here.

Hostel Facilities

As of now classes are going on in online mode. The platform which is used by many mammles. Btw hostels are near khelgaon. Khelgaon has all the sports facilities. For IIM Ranchi studetns it is free. for other there is an amount asssociated with this.

Hostel Fee: INR 5500 per year

Admission

There was no GD round but PI was there. This year it was conducted online. For me it went about 30 minutes. Questions were related to basic HR Principles.

My Low Budget College life in Master at St. Xavier's College Ranchi

Placement Experience:

Our college does offer campus placements from 4th semester onwards. The companies visiting our college our mostly industry based hiring for the position of assistant and trainee for short term then after that fixed placement in that company after completing the given role. Companies such as Jindal stell, Glenmark, Tata Chemicals, Sun Pharma, etc. they do provide there on test and if we pass the test then they do a walk in interview. if we pass the interview then we were offered a role of assistant or trainee under the annual package ranging from 3 - 4.5L P.A.

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

The course curriculum of the college is very good and well-structured. Teaching at the college is excellent, and students are taught various skills such as tailoring and gardening. Different types of co-curricular activities are conducted, through which student-teachers are taught many useful and practical skills. Gardening is taught, and co-curricular activities help students learn extra work beyond academics. There is NSS work and social work as well. Overall, the curriculum is very good, and the teachers there fully focus on ensuring that students stay focused on their curriculum and give their best.

Placement Experience:

Students can get placement from there 5th semester and if they perform well in the company they get internship they will get placement in there only. Many companies visits but some famous companies are Reliance, Byju's, Ujjivan,Justdial, Tcs and mamy more. Planetspark is the company which gave highest package of 8lac rs to a student. Student without backlog gets placement easily. I am planning to do a job and save some mony and do my pg so that i could get better opportunities in jobs.
