Remarks

I.e.m is already among the reputed colleges in kolkata. For me, the reputation for its discipline was one of the prime factors along with the placement statistics of the last few years. The help we got from faculty members was worth gratitude. The whole MBA/PGDM community was like a family for us.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our syllabus of PGDM was updated more or less. Yes, we were provided industrial exposure at some extent but it could have been more I think. Faculty members were really good. Asimabha Bhowmick who taught us "operations and supply chain management " is the best of all the faculty members we interacted for sure. To get him as a teacher is like a blessing.

Class Size: 21Course Fees: INR 600000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Doing any internship was a mandate for us in the 3rd semester. My summer internship project was at AROHAN FINANCIAL SERVICES LIMITED as an operations management intern. The stipend was too less though with respect to the task I performed. It was 5k/month and the sip duration was two months.

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities are moderately good. However, IEM focuses a lot on attendance and the biometric system of giving attendance sometimes get critical due to technical error. Attendances are taken separately also in individual class. Having attendance less than 60% does not allow the students to sit for placements. So to avail all the placement opportunities, its a mandate to have the mentioned attendance. Getting job depends on the student's own profile I think. Alumni networking is not strong though to be honest. Faculty members and placement coordinators are helpful and very particular in their tasks. Regarding the entrepreneur cell, I have no idea though.

College Events

The campus life is mostly school-like. Sometimes it will be felt that we are still in school. Rest are good. Extracurricular activities, management fests, essay - debate competitions are held often. Lots of interesting events like entrepreneurial activities like making hand-made customized jewelries, home-made foods used to happen.

Honest Review of BIBS

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

IIM Calcutta has fantastic placement records. This year also it got 100% placement. There are offers for various roles in marketing, finance, consulting, operations, product management, and general management, and it involves the participation of world-renowned organisations. A total of 170 organisations visited the campus, providing a total of 520 job openings. IIM has a 100% placement rate, with the majority of the organisations coming from the consulting, financial services, marketing, and information technology industries. The highest domestic CTC was 60 lakhs, with an average package of roughly 28.5 lakhs.

Remarks:

It is one of the renowned institutes in Kolkata. But after admission got the clear msg. It is renowned for its engineering degree only not for PGDM or MBA. They even dont have proper faculties to teach students. I majored in Business Analytics, but back to then in 2019 there was not even one teacher who have subject knowledge.

Remarks:

College course structure is good but as faculty are not good implementation is bad. Need company visit and better placement. More focuses on MBA rather than the additional courses. Apart from this, it's a good college.

Remarks:

The good things I like is that the teachers teach through the slides prepared by himself and also told student to prepare PowerPoint presentation and deliver in the class and also give different case study to solve the problem. Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
