Remarks

College management gives the support for arranging any events for the college and this is really the backbone of the frequent events arranged at the college

Entrance Preview

KEAM ENTRANCE BY KERALA GOVERNMENT, I got a rank in range 18000. I was preffering to do the instrumention course. So opted this college, Nearly 25 km away from my house.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Cochin university, Little tough Course, 1St year basic electronics. 2Nd and 3rd year electronics. 4Th year instrumentation. Theory is given more importance. But good practical and labs Project gives you the exposureAfter the course there is a lot of courses you can continue according to your tastes.

Internships Opportunities

No there is no internship program provided by the college. So there is no stipend or experience from this. This is a negative to the course curriculum.

Placement Experience

3

Many of my batch mates were well placed. Due to high requirement of electronics and instrumentation candidates in india. Its tough to find a job in kerala, due to low number of production based industries. But outside kerala there is a lot of vacancy available for freshers and experienced hands

College Events

4

There was a lot of events arranged in the college. IEEE was very active in our college and it frequently arranged many events at our college. It gave us lot os exposure and made us self sufficient for any situations. Management of events became too easy for us during these events as we were well experienced in it

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was feasible for the ones who got the admission on merit. Merit students were having a fees of about 40000 per year (2007-2011) it may vary now. And for management admmisadmmission students it was at tye range of 1 lakh and for Nri students above that. I dont knownthe exact figures

Fees and Financial Aid

I dont know about these things as i didnt get use any of the above. So it will be nice to ask to someone who has availed this for more information. Otherwise ask the college officials for more information.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is too enjoyable as there wqs a lot of freedom available(at that time, heard that the atmosphere changed after 2011 as the principal got replaced). Gender ratio was about 50:50. Lot of extra curricular activities were offered Competition Competitions on technical activities like robotics and others was offered every year as part of various events

Hostel Facilities

3

I was not a hostel student, So i dont know about the facilities of the hostel. But from my friends point of view it is providing a good atmosphere and good food with free wifi. May be the complete review of hostel must be obtained from some one who was at hostel. I dont have any experience on this

Alumni/Alumna

The college alumni network iis very active. It arranges events regularly and keeps the ex students connected every time. The work of the alumni team is really appreciative and must be mentioned.

Exam Structure

It was a little hectic, but was enjoyable. Theory exams was little tough as it is not enjoyable as the practicals. Lab & practical exams were too enjoyable and the facilities offered by the college is really appreciative as we are always prepared for any exam.

Admission

Form for the entrance ws procured from some bank, Filled by me Submitted to the authority via postal service. Then came the hall ticket, Then entrance exam, Then result, Then 1st allotment, Got placed in the college in the first itself Admission to the college

Faculty

3.5

1St year the faculty were retired proffesorsfrom government engineering college's so the teaching standard was too high and was a great experience and too good. Then onwards the faculties were sub standard and not upto mark expect few of them.. may be due to the 1st year experience we had

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.
