Entrance Preview

Wrote COMEDK, scored 55/180 and that helped me get a direct admission into the college without even attending counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is set by V.T.U (visvesarya technical university), and our college follows the curriculum set up by the university, as far as research goes there is really no scope at all to do any such research or even an internship as the gaps between semesters are just 1 month long in which no company would let any intern to work for such a small period. Thus the curriculum is highly wrote based were the university promotes students to study the curriculum, get the marks and complete the graduation.

Internships Opportunities

None, the students do not get any implant internship offers and we have to go to sites such as lets intern, internshala and other such websites to find internships and moreover very very few students actually get to do an internship as i mentioned earlier that the gaps between semesters to actually do a full time internship.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements are very good if u compare it with the colleges of the same band, it probably is the best in class, and was a major reason. Why i joined the college, the companies that attend the placements are mostly companies within the pay band of 3-4.5 lakhs, and if you have a 60% aggregate. Then you can be assured you will be placed sooner or later, talking about the top level companies attending the placements. There are about a handful of these (Samsung,Sony,GS to name a few) but these companies usually take only a few students and its pretty hard to be selected in there interviews.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fess structure is feasible CET-35K (every year), other fees is 4 Lac - executive, 1.6Lac - professional,1.85 Lac-Global. So if you get a seat through cet it would be very very affordable and also if you go through any other qualifying exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

Though loans are not provided by the college, scholarships are provided to all the students of the reserved category(100% of the fee) by the state government, and also the college gives a scholarship of 2 lakhs to each topper(top 3) in every department .

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is good and one can go to many malls nearby and but there is only one catch if you bunk your classes even for 1 hours an sms goes at the end of everyday regarding that to our parents respectively. Gender ratio is 2:3( female:male) in most departments, whereas in the case of bio-tech department 1:2 ratio is observed (male:female) and in case of mechanical department 99% are boys.

Exam Structure

When compared to other universities in India, the gaps between some papers during the final exams are as high as 6 days. Which i have only seen to be during my 12th board examinations and gets a little frustrating sometimes as these exams happen every 6 months, the lab exams are conducted by an external teacher at our college and are pretty easy and a walk in the park. Our practical exams are conducted before the commencement of theory exams and usually we have a 7-10 day gap between the two, internal exams are conducted 1 in the morning and another in the evening which is the norm throughout the state and teachers give us a set of about 20 questions out of which the questions are asked. So internals are very easy and relaxed in comparison to the final exams.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
