Remarks

The Admission Process was very simple and swift. The cutoff of my course was 96.25%. As I cleared the cutoff of my course in Kirori Mal College, I just had to go there and many seniors who were volunteers in the admission process guided me to different venues where we had to submit documents and approve our documents etc. Teachers, as well as students, were all very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course as I always had a good hold over mathematics and I have liked mathematics since the very beginning. Coming to the faculty, all teachers are very supportive, helpful and knowledgeable. The student's teachers stay around 14. Most teachers have completed their PHDs and have ample experience. Teaching before pandemic was in classrooms which was pretty much interactive but after the pandemic, it shifted to online mode. End term exams Happen every six months while there many tests in between the semester which for considered to giving the internal assessment marks.

Internships Opportunities

5

The placement cell Avenues is very efficient and brings all kind of internships. Students have to fill a form where they select their field of interest like skill building, marketing etc. Offers are made according to the category filled throughout the year. Most offers come from startups and roles like the content writer, marketing person, public relations volunteer etc are offered. Stipends that are offered are Certificates, letter of recommendations, sometimes some pay also which is all pre- informed by the companies along with the offer made.

Placement Experience

4

College provides placements for mostly all courses. The placement cell of College AVENUES works for bringing internship opportunities throughout the year and good placements opportunities for the third year students. Companies start to visit from February so students are eligible to sit in placement from the fifth semester. The percentage of students getting placed cannot be judged as a parameter as students themselves opt out of placements to pursue higher studies. I am myself looking to pursue MBA after my graduation finishes.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees didn't hike last year. It had stayed around Rs 13000 for each year which is manageable. For the underprivileged, the college offers very scholarships and fees waivers as well. Students have to submit some documents. Campus jobs are offered. Most good offers are made to students pursuing Economics honours. Placements in B.Sc courses also happen but since they aren't that good, pursuing higher studies remains a more desirable option.

Campus Life

5

College provides a very good Social life. The annual fest's name is Renaissance whereas every department and society conducts its separate fests. The fests happen in February and March. Fests include games, various knowledgeable sessions and fun activities. The library has all the major books that are recommended by the University for the course. There are 4-5 copies of each book available in the library where you can go and borrow them for a fixed time period. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. Multiple computers labs provide the platform to work on software. The renovation has also started where classes are being provided with new furniture etc. The college has various sports activities like Cricket, football, basketball, badminton, boxing, chess etc. KMC'S basketball is said to be one of the best at Delhi University. The college has various societies like NSS, NCC, Enactus and many more. The college runs NSS where volunteers go and teach underprivileged children and interact with them

The students become eligible for placements after second year or even third year. Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
