Remarks
I have applied to Ramjas College for the course BSc (Hons) Chemistry. I belong to the OBC category, for obc candidates, there is a relaxation of approx 1 percent. For admission in chemistry Hons, only physics, chemistry and maths marks of 12th standard are calculated. Like if the cutoff is 95%, so if your total PCM percentage is 95% or above then you can apply. There is no minimum age requirement. The admission process can take 1 or a maximum of 2 days. For this, first, you have to go to the college for which you have applied. There are many students and help desk members who are there for help. So no need to worry about that. Then you will have to go for document verification. You have to fill a form which will be given to teachers of your department who are available there. After the submission of the form and documents verification, a link will be generated for fee payment. And your admission is done.
Course Curriculum Overview
Chemistry was my favourite subject so I have chosen BSc (Hons) chemistry. Also, the faculty of Ramjas college is very good for chemistry. They are very helpful in nature. Most of the faculty have PhD. They are very kind and helpful too. Exams are conducted semester wise every 6 months. If we have studied in class properly then we can easily pass.
Placement Experience
From 5th semester, we become eligible for campus placement. I have never visited companies because I wanna prepare for govt exams after getting the degree. About 70-80% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 5-6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2-3 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure vary for every year. For 1st year of my course, it was 14000 Rs. , For 2nd year it was 16650 Rs. and for 3rd year it's 17000 approx. Examination fees is excluded. We have to pay examination fees per semester according to no. Of practicals. Examination fees are around 1000 to 1500 per semester.
Campus Life
There are many extracurriculars in college that give you job experience and help you make connections in your field. The College offers a wide range of courses, extra-curricular activities like NSS. The college offers many societies like dance society, drama society, debate society.
