Remarks
I didn't apply to any other colleges. And neither I was admitted through any quotas as I come under General Category. To get admission into my college (IIT ISM DHANBAD), you have to first clear the JEE MAINS exam held twice (4 times in 2021). Approximately 10 Lakh students sit for the JEE MAINS exam every year, out of which roughly 2.5 Lakh students clear it. After the JEE MAINS comes the JEE ADVANCED exam in which approximately 12,500 students out of the 2.5 Lakh MAINS pass out students are selected to get into the IITs. For the process of college allotment, you have to apply for JoSAA councelling which is a 6 rounds councelling program held after the JEE ADVANCED. Here you have to submit a preference order of the colleges you would like to join. Then the allotment is done taking into account the merit order if the masses and your preference order as well. I was allotted this college in the 6th round of JoSAA Councelling.
Course Curriculum Overview
Honestly, I wanted to choose CSE but since my rank was not up to the marks for that course I then chose CIVIL ENGINEERING. I was also quite interested in this course as well. So, it came as an easy way out for the second option. The student to faculty ratio here is very nice, I am not sure of the actual number though. But still, it is adequate. They are well qualified and almost all of them hold a PhD in their respective Subjects. The exams here are also quite well. The level of difficulty varies per Subject. The overall report for the exam level can be stated as MEDIUM LEVEL.
