Remarks

The admission process, due to the pandemic was completely online, but I must say it was very smooth. I did apply for Hansraj and Gargi college and even got them, but since LSR has been the dream college of mine and my parents too, so I ended up being here to witness "THE MAGIC OF LSR". For admission into Bsc(Hons) Mathematics, the BFS (best four subjects) percentage criteria were applied with English and mathematics as compulsary subjects in BFS and the rest any two subjects with more marks. The admission was open for the general category for the only first cut of which required 97.25% as BFS%.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

My passion for the enigma of mathematics has always made me inclined towards this subject, to be honest. And getting an opportunity to pursue my interest from an institute like LSR, was no less than a dream come true. Getting to choose Mathematics Hons was like a cherry on the top of my cake (here LSR) As far as my experience till now, the faculty-student ratio is quite appropriate. There are two lecturers for each core subject. Needless to emphasize that the faculty here is highly qualified from top universities. Apart from being highly qualified, they have all the required attributes to be the "IDEAL GURUS". Humble, kind, loving and caring, understanding, and dedicated are the best-suited adjectives for them. Their passion, dedication, and their valuable efforts to make us understand are clearly reflected in their teaching method. Here they emphasize more on the conceptual and practical way of learning. The term exams were held timely and the difficulty level was moderate.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are so many companies ranging from startups to big companies like Blackrock visiting campus for internships. They come for a varied range of profiles like digital marketing intern, human resource intern, research intern, social media intern, subject matter expert, content writing intern, and a lot more exciting profiles and offer a considerate stipend too.

Placement Experience

5

The placements here are very good. Students become eligible for campus placements from their third year. Many top companies like BAIN AND CO., BLACKROCK, etc. visit to campus with very good stipends. They mostly recruit for the post of the data analyst. The highest placement offer is 30LPA and the average placement offer is 9.4LPA. I plan for further studies after my graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure at LSR is very affordable. A middle-class family can easily afford to send their children here. It does provide schlorship opportunities, Some students got INSPIRE SCHOLARSHIP. Our college has provided free laptops to many of the needy students as a step in their Financial Assistance. There are many job opportunities for students in their third years with very good stipends.

Campus Life

5

As it's already known that Delhi university is very popular for its amazing fests as others from other colleges and institutes attend these which enhances its charm. Similarly, LSR is famous for its annual fest TARANG which is conducted in November and our departmental mathematics fest is NOOR. LSR has a very pleasing library with easy availability of books and journals on a variety of topics. As pandemic has not made us visit our college even once, we have heard from our seniors that the amenities in the college classroom are very proper and well maintained. There is a vast scope for sports and extracurricular activities with a bunch of college societies like dances, dram soc, nso, ncc, nss, and many more.

Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
