Remarks
MHCET score is considered for admission (JEE Mains score is also allowed), so qualifying criteria was the same as required for MHCET examination. Regarding my branch cut off, it was around 98.15 percentile for the CSE branch at that time, For the open category.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have opted for BE in Computer science and engineering since I am interested in computer science. The college strictly follows the curriculum prescribed by AICTE. During the first year, students of all the branches come under the first year department, and second year onwards students go to their respective departments, the faculty in both the departments I have been being very good. They provide students with proper guidance as well as have good subject knowledge and experience as well since the majority have doctorates or are in the process of obtaining one. Faculty members also belong to the industry which proves to be helpful to the students in the engineering discipline. Term Exams are conducted in a timely manner at the end of each semester, while a continuous evaluation method is followed where unit tests, TAs, and quizzes are conducted. It is not very tough to clear examinations. Also, group projects are encouraged to keep the curriculum industry relevant.
Internships Opportunities
I have not yet applied for any internship opportunities with companies or organisations in the second year, and I am unaware of any such opportunities provided by the college as of now. The college however has a Technology business incubator cell, where college students from any year of study do collaborate in Incubating organisations started by students.
Placement Experience
Since I have only completed y 2nd year of Engg. I do not have first hand experience of placements. However from what I have read and heard our college has a good placement record with the highest package of about 24LPA and an average of about 4 -5 LPA. Students are eligible for placements from the third year. The training and placement cell of the college takes care of placements and companies like VMware, Infosys, and other MNCs offer campus placements to students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The complete program fees is Rs.600000, divided equally into 4 years. I.e 150000 per year. The course fee is affordable for a private engineering college like this. Merit based Scholarship is provided to a number of students every year based on term performance.
Campus Life
College life is pretty good and I would say even better if you find a good group of friends. The college is full of events throughout the year, plenty of sports, tech, as well as cultural events either branch wise or college events are organised. The annual college fest known as Pratishruti which is quite popular and known to be the largest college fest in the region is also very cool. Students can also join various clubs throughout the college tenure, namely the music club, tech club, dance club, Lit club etc which are very good in their own right. Although the college campus is modest in size, it has very well maintained classrooms and well equipped labs, along with a furnished library with good seating and study areas.
