Remarks

There is an entrance mode of admission for PhD in ICT. ICT conducts its entrance test every year, after that there is an interview for getting admission in PhD at ICT. Minimum eligibility for PhD is that candidate should have atleast 60% marks in postgraduation. There is one orientation session for the new students after admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

All the faculty at ICT are very supportive and friendly, my interest to explore science pushed me to do research at ICT. There is a 1:30, faculty: student ratio. All faculty members are polite and well trained for teaching, most of them are doctorate degree holders. There is a semester-wise exam pattern that held twice a year.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Indian Oil Corporation has offered many internships to the students, for the quality control tasks and the work in the research and development section in their refineries. Mainly projects for which internships are offered are Clean energy projects.

Placement Experience

3.5

In the last semester of the course, students are eligible for placements on campus. The pharma, textile, and chemical-related industries are the key recruiters in the campus. In my best knowledge, there is the highest package offered by a company to the student is 18L p.a. Approximately 75% of students get placed in the campus placements. I will go for my higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a core-commitee for handling all fees-related matters in ICT. The cost of the study is comparatively cheaper compare to other institutions. As, I am not availing of any scholarships right now during my course, but there are many financial assistance scholarships are available for students based on merit criteria.

Campus Life

5

There is an annual fest celebration held once a year, this is a theme-based celebration and many other institutes also participate in that fest. plenty of books and journals are available in the library, there is an e-library facility is also provided by the institute to access the subscribed journals. all the classrooms are air-conditioned and well-furnished. There are many sports-related activities happening every month, mainly organized by sports club members or student-commitee members. There is a active NSS group in the institute for social-related events.

Interview Experience

4

There is an interview for PhD in the admission process. All the interview questions are based on the subject for which candidates are seeking admission. The level of questions asked during the interview is moderate. I have read many articles, journals, books related to my subject for the interview.

Admission:

I opt for this institute as its All India Rank is 1 in best Institutes. For admission in Ph.D., you should qualify either CSIR NET or GATE so that you are eligible to be called for an interview. The interview procedure is the same as that of other institutions. You have to prepare for the interview as per your syllabus and give your best.

No permanent faculty has to be the biggest flaw. The course is great but they need people for the execution. We need a better lab for microbiological testings but otherwise great. Now I'm running out of things to say.
