Truth about my college

College management is awesome as they have strict rules for activities like ragging, harassment, etc. They implement these rules efficiently and that's why the ranking of the institute is number 1 in India

The course curriculum is awesome here. There are many internal and external assessments. You would learn a lot after getting admission to IIT Bombay. They also train students for practicals for overall assessment. I don't know about other departments but research facilities are good in the chemistry department. They are also getting good publications. In my view, research facilities here are best in comparison to other IIT's.

Placements are good in the institute. If you want a job then you will definitely get it without any doubt. If you want an internship then you will get it too. You would also get to go to a foreign conference during your stay at IIT.

We have Asia's biggest fest i.e. Mood Indigo. We have many kinds of cultural and technical fest which are organized in the institute throughout the year. These fests have a high level of following and fund.

The fee structure is quite high in my point of view. As it is a government institution the fees must be less for all the students but when we see the facilities they are providing fees structure is quite acceptable. We are also getting a 30k fellowship per month and hence there is no worry about the fees.

In Ph.D., every student is eligible to get Rs 30000 fellowship per month and there is no need to apply separately for this. If you get admission then you will definitely get the fellowship also.

Campus life is awesome and that is what IIT Bombay is famous for. There are night canteens in which there is always a rush. Their canteens are open till 4 AM. There is a large no. of clubs like the nature club, NCC, NSS, sports club, Gymkhana facilities, etc for the entertainment of students.

The Alumni network is very very strong. As most of the pass out students are in very higher positions and still in touch with the professors of the institute. There is Alumni meet every year so that new students get to meet with their senior and get inspiration from them.

I opt for this institute as its All India Rank is 1 in best Institutes. For admission in Ph.D., you should qualify either CSIR NET or GATE so that you are eligible to be called for an interview. The interview procedure is the same as that of other institutions. You have to prepare for the interview as per your syllabus and give your best.

The total number of professors is around 30 or more in the department. The average age of prof. is 40 and they are highly qualified professionals. Most if they did their Ph.D. from foreign universities. When we talk about the subject clarity, in my view students have to work hard for their own knowledge as this professor has high knowledge of practical research but is unable to teach the theory part clearly.
