Remarks

I had applied to BJB Bhubaneswar, Ravenshaw University. But I left those colleges because I got a very good and my dream college JNU. I gave an entrance for each subject I had put in options. I took foreign languages. I pass in Arabic Language and took admission in 2019. After clearing the entrance the counselling happened on July 10-11, 2019. There was an admission process by rank wise and choosing of the subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I wanted to learn any foreign language so in future I can work in any foreign country. Arabic seems very interesting to me and talking and speaking in Arabic is lovely. The faculty members are around 15-20 here. We have five papers in each year or semester. So we have Five Faculties with us to teach us. These Faculty members are also graduated from JNU. There are three sessionals exam and one semester at the end of every six months.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

I don't know the name of the companies. But they recruit the students for the tutor, translator and to work in embassies. They provide a package of 1 year to work in foreign. They provide internships to students of foreign nationalities.

Placement Experience

1.5

After the 6th semester or BA, a student is applying for campus placements. Foreign companies recruit students in large number. Students are recruited from multinational companies and Foreign Embassies. I want to be admitted to the embassy.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is not so high here. The annual fee must be around 5,000 or below this. 108 is the per semester registration fee. Yes, scholarships are provided to students. 2,000 per month is given to students whose parents income is below 1 Lakh per year.

Campus Life

1.5

No annual fests are done. But counselling programmes are done from time to time. There is our Central Library on the Campus. It provides various books. and students sit here the whole day to study. There is a sports club plus a stadium for students. Various hiking and activities are done here.

Hostel Facilities

3

There are 18 hostels on campus. There are Boys, Girls or Boys-Girls hostels available. There are single and double seater room provided. Rooms are well equipped with a study table provided to each student in the room. Mess facility is available in every hostel. Food is provided in three meals. Good food and amount are also good of the food. After getting admission to the University you apply for the hostel and you got hostel rank wise according to your category.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It DU, so i think for many students it comes down to if you are able to make it to cutt off list. So my decision was based on it. I cleared the cutt off list for english hons so i took it. I wanted to make my way for govt job, so it was all about getting a degree regardless of what subject i was getting. I think curriculum just make you educated enough to get to know but its the college life that make you come face to face with the real world. exams every 6 months i.e every semester i think its good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like Human Geography which let me to opt for this paper. Besides theory papers, we also have practical papers every semester through which we conduct surveys, interviews, research which helps us in preparing for the real world applications as well as further academic pursuits if we want to go in the field of Remote sensing or GIS. I feel that for papers including research or management, we should be showcasing how we can mitigate them or adapt in such scenarios and also make drafts for writing a research for further pursuits. However, as the time is limited it is quite understandable as to why its not conducted. We have two exams in a year and they are quite relevant and easy
